What is the difference between a crisp and a chip, besides some marketing technique?

I also like the cheap and nast Space Invader crisps that have been out for ages but making a comeback, only 20p a pack aswell, they do Beef flavour, just like Monster Munch used to do.

Cape Cod are my favorite. Kettle cooked chips are amazing.

Pipers Sea Salt and Cider Vinegar Crisps.  Only ever seen em on GNER/National Express trains to London.  Cost £1 a packet which is an almighty con but i just craftily charge them to expenses.
