Looks interesting but if its a Half life engine sorta thing get used to fail rego or insane bullshit + easy hacks made.
Is it just me or were those graphics a lot better than any other Source engine game i've ever seen, and the environments a LOT bigger.
That definitely looks interesting. Although having [Valve] in the thread title is a bit misleading since they're only using the engine.

Sounds boring, being an NPC and all. Stand around and sell items or give quests all day, hours of fun there. Im sure im missing what their grasping at, but the game does look fun regardlessof this "crossplayer" jazz.
Yeah the whole sword and blood thing and flying drop kicks of penguin death and all that makes me want to buy it.

Whats crossplayer? and Fing sweet getting it fo show!!! but is this the next assassins creed or... All in all looks pretty decent.

There has been a cool plot like this before, Turning Point? Who remembers that, noone because they failed and it was such a cool idea, nazis winning WWII, I dont have high hopes for this knights templar crap but, good luck to them. I still dont know what Crossplayer means.

I don't understand the crossplayer thing, but the game looks fun enough. I only hope multiplayer's more balanced than Dark Messiah.
As I understand it, crossplayer means, that you play sort of a singleplayer game online and the NPC´s (probably the ones that give you quests, but maybe even the merchants if there are any) are controlled by humans. They do have the possibility to change what quests and stuff you get so that your game is really dynamic. Otherwise it would be pretty boring to be an NPC as r2zoo stated. Kinda like a storyteller, which was implemented in some RPG games in the past. You know, one player assuming the role of the storyteller and setting waypoints, picking quests for the group and such (I think some Final Fantasy had that)
But with all those assholes roaming the internetz nowadays, it remains to be seen if the concept works out.

I think the NPCs, the enemies that try and kill you (not the boring quest givers), can be controlled by other people. Which would make for a really long sp campaign, not to mention a difficult one.
