Living in Gitmo in many cases provides a higher standard of living than does their country of origin. In fact, many have pleaded with officials NOT to be sent back to their home country. On that same point, I read a recent article about Palistinian teens who purposefully sought to get arrested and jailed in Israel in order to escape the rigid life in their own place.DBBrinson1 wrote:
Look at any Arab state prison. Those guys in Gitmo are getting far better treatment compared to any prison in their own country. Punished by the European Union? How has the European Union really helped us in the first place? England has, but France & Germany have been against the US all along.

I am very thankful that George W. Bush is our president. I'd for for him again in a hearbeat if he could run again.
Funny, I installed the incremental patch and could not log in even after repeated attempts. I then installed the full patch and was able to log in on the first try.
It's okay. Tough on MEC though.
Awsome, 'bout time, although, yes, I will miss getting crushed by a vehicle dropped on me as I sit on my lonely perch atop a building picking you off, one by one!
Too funny! Great clip.
Well, it's not always about personal skill. It's about teamwork and helping protect your team from overhead aircraft so they can cap the flags and win the war.PRiMACORD wrote:
Thats nice and all, but using AA still requires next to zero skill.
Excellent points regarding a good chopper pilot. How many times have I been a gunner in a Cobra and we get shot down due to the lack of understanding of elevation relative to the other bird? When I fly the bathtubs - the Blackhawks and comparables - I always try to orient the bird at a downward angle so my door gunner has a chance at mowing down troops and vehicles.
Your right to call out this player. Far too many people think it is their personal helicopter either for them only, or only for them and their buddy. I undrestand wanting the chopper to rack up points, but I try to let other people have a shot at it too.
Nice post.

Not sure if anyone else here has done this, but looking at BlaZin.UK's stats, one can come to the conclusion that the reason this guy is top dog is because he has played BF2 for an average of 6 hours and 40 minutes EVERY SINGLE DAY since he bought the game!
BlaZin.UK logged in on June 24, 2005. Stats show he has played 920 hours and 10 minutes. He played yesterday and today is Nov. 14, 2005, so 144 days divided by 920 hours of play averages out to 6.38 hours of play every single day!! It's unlikely BlaZin.UK has played every day, but then he would have had to play many days much longer than 6 hours and 40 minutes at a crack.
Wow! That is a lot of game play!

1. People who Tk for vehicles!
2. Whiners who complain about n00b t00bs, but drive around in tanks (n00bzilla) or fly helo's or jets racking up their 1,000's of kills.
3. Stupid server rules such as no uncappable flag camping, no c4 at flags, n00b t00b= ban.....etc.
4. Idiots who hop in and drive away in my hmmv/vodnik when I am using it to defend a flag.
5. Squads who don't follow orders.
6. Commanders flying jets on 32/64 player servers.
7. Admin abuse.
8. Whiners in general.

Excellent analysis. Shooting fish in a barrel is not a sport! It IS annoying an unsportsman-like, but it's STILL not as annoying as helicopter whores!! You know, the people who believe that only they are entittled to the attack hellicopter and try and bully those who would like to fly, or worse, they tk for it! Those people should be banned.shortah wrote:
Well see theres a thing though... when theres only one flag left and its uncapable its not base raping... when your team has 4 flags... and all your doing is circuling the spawn bombing and killing people as they spawn.. it is spawning and base raping.. cause theres no chance for the person even to leave the spawn area. Which I consider annoying as hell, and personally hate. I think if you really have a good enough grasp on flying a plane... wait till they get off the ground or leave spawn and than you can kill them... atleast than they have a chance to avoid and dodge. or abandon and run. If your killing someone before they even get a chance to run. its definately base raping. You could be using your good flying skills to help your team capture flags and win the round instead of being an annoying base raping bitch.
Couple of points: First, Google is evil - but in a hideously friendly way. Second, everyone out to be ponying up some money to help offset the costs of this site. This site adds depth to the BF2 gaming experience.
I happen to like playing commander. But you are absolutely right, a good, team player commander works his tail off! In fact, often as commander I have to literally take off my top shirt because I'm sweating so hard working the controls with such intensity. You are constantly watching and monitoring. You are trying to pay attention through all the chatter in the net, your droppin' supplies, providing UAV, and trying to inflict massive casualties with arty. Watching your tickets. I never want to be commander, ever. But I still do it when my team has none. Last night I busted my ass as commander, only got 5 points, kept the UAVs rolling, arty going, spotting, everything, worked my ass off- and what did I get? A loss and a mutiny.
A good commander can really help turn the tide of the battle for your side. I know I have done help turn the tide of battle a number of times, but you are correct that if you have a weaker team, (guys running around and unproductively waiting for specific vehicles forever) sometimes all the hard work as commander gets you is a mutiny vote by those you are trying to assist. Sheesh!
