I use a razer Diamondback mouse Logitech Extreme 3D PRO joystick
and a saitek Eclipse Keyboard and have a nostromo n52 but couldn't
get used to using it. I use a 19"CRT vision Master Pro 454 For my
display until Flat panel displays have improved.

Generic RAM is basically RAM not from manufacturers like Corsair, Kingston, OCZ, etc; but are store bought name brands from BestBuy or CompUSA that are cheaper but not as good.

Off top of my head, next machine is speced in my sig, although it is subject to change, reason I am holding off is I want to see ATi's dx10 card compaired to these 8 series monsters. Besides by march you can wager there will be other 8 series family cards out, e.g 8600 and 8950's or something like that. 4gb ram is the minimum to run vista boys and girls so get that upgraded for sure! Finially, atm I have my eye on the quad core intel cpu, but again, by march other versions should be available and perhaps AMD will re take there crown from intel.
