Actually I find Africa is better. You can hop from West Africa across to Brazil and once you've taken that continent you've got a large force down to the South and Madagascar. Australia is the worst continent to have since you can't really do anything except fight into Siam. I don't really like the island hopping necessary in Western Europe/Iceland either. Middle East because I'm more personally engaged there than with Africa (although my uncle is Nigerian), but in many ways the problems of Africa also involve the Middle East (ie. Sudan, Northern Nigeria, Somalia, Morocco, Libya, etc.).
