This was taken with Battlecorder and every damn option on High 1280x1024. Phew!

And after playing with the mod editor and photopaint you'll get this... Now someone read it

edit; the funny thing is that if you go back to the actual texture: usrif_sa80_c.dds it is competely unreadable in any format
After quickly screening some other weapons, I could only find that there is text on the bottom of the mines... sayin AT mines oh and the wrench up close and personal gives you "6 in   Hoffe the handyman 2000" But that was clear in other formats as well.

Sniper scope does sound like a good idea.

my vote is that EA put this in to see how long they could get people to wonder what it says.

I think its GRAB instead of CALM

I've got that smug and warm feeling inside , having found something new (although not significant) in the game.

I know there has been lots of other bits noted, like the fish crates et al. Just remains to be seen what else is left out there.

by reading this whole thread, it looks like its says 'Players Grab Your Dicks If You Love Bitches/Bicxus' or 'Players Calm Your Chicks If You Love Hicxus?' My Bet is that the 1st one is more likely to be it though.

but the "IF YOU" is clear enough..so that must be correct....

maybe other weapons haver such easter eggs?

Turns out that DDS files can be opened after all

Here's a look at the relevant bit of texture at 100%:

Of course, it still isn't very clear, but that's the unaltered (except for the format change/resize) texture image for anyone interested

If you want to take a look at the texture yourself, there's a DDS plugin for Photoshop you can find freely available on the internet; if you use that, you can open it.

Yeah I opened it too, and no real difference. I think they got it right with:

"Players grab your chicks/dicks? if you like hicxus"

Maybe its a purposly mispelt "Hickus" which is a surname.

squinting helps a bit
