Basically I THINK that there is way too big a pwnage gap between the EU pistol (shoots sultanas) and the PAC pistol, which you can actually do pretty well with.
I was trying to get my silver pistol badge (7 kills one round...oh no) and first i tried near the end of a round on the EU side....and failed miserably. I think i got about K of about 4:10ish...so that was no good.

Then I tried it on the PAC side and got it without dying at all, even beating some 'good' players when they had proper guns and getting some whiny person complaining (see sig)

The main problem i think is that the EU pistol shoots so slowly that you cant get that many in before they remeber to click the mouse button whereas the PAC one fires them out at about thrice the speed.

Ya, The EU Pistol does suck.. I dunno if they need to it do more damage, fire faster, or something cause i cant kill shit with it..

I Got my Veterans Pistol on PAC.

I looked up the Pistol stats on bf2142fever.

EU Pistol does quite a lot more damage (31 instead of 24). Adjusting for body armor, the EU one kills in 5 shots while the PAC one kills in 6. However, it has less bullets per clip. This seems balanced enough, but the PAC one has much better sights, and can fire a lot faster.

The PAC pistol also can shoot 12m before the damage goes down, the EU pistol only 8m.

So EU pistol = crap.

Funnily enough, EU assault rifle is also worse than the PAC rifle... someone has favourites.

I got silver pistol using the EU pistol. Don't see what is so bad about it, just learn to use it. BTW zooming in with that thing is a very bad idea.

I prefer the EU pistol, got my badge with it. I find it kills faster, although i still prefer the 92FS from bf2. Silencers would be nice as well for recon. All my pistol kills are with the EU, the PAC one doesn't do enough damage, I unloaded a clip on to a person about 5 ft away and he didn't die. You just need to be close to use it, try belgrade, brilliant close combat level, harder not to kill with it on that.

I Got both basic and Vet Pistol badges with the Takao Pistol

It returns to aim reallllly faster than the EU. While i agree for the damage!

I would agree I like the design of the EU pistol, its just to clunky to fire.
PAC one is not even much of an improvement over it either.

I'f you're very sneaky, they EU can be better for precision, damage causing shots.
As an last resort, I also prefer the EU pistols for its damage increase. Odds are, if you are using a pistol as a last resort, one shot should finish em off. In this case, damage > rate of fire, if you can aim.

Dude, all I can tell is I personally witnessed a clanmate today get his 18 kills IAR = Gold Pistol badge as EU. Talking about it, he said it's most of all a matter of getting used to it. He said it felt more accurate and of course it does more damage.
