Paying over $400 for a console is rediculous.
As far as the Wii goes, your loss, I'm glad we will have less people like you fucking up our gaming experience by asking for titles like HALO.
Edit: For all you saying the Wii changes nothing from the previous system, what do the other consoles change? Graphics? Is that it? Given a choice between 8-bit Mario and looking at Hi-Def super-realistic versions of Ridge Racer, I'll stick with the plumber.
400 for a console is pretty damn ridiculous, but then if u look at pc gamers, a decent budget card is 200, and then of course your gonna get a more expensive proc, say 100 extra, and then you want at least 2 gigs for games nowadays(1 gig will do but its not so nice) so say tag an extra 100 on the system for more ram, thats at least $400 extra just for gaming if you don't up the video and what not. And then you have the pleasure of having to install and update then game and then deal with windows when its on its period and then updating video drivers. For 95% of the population buying the console that costs just as much if not less than what it would cost to upgrade their pc and then not having to worry about the game crashing and patching it and shit. And just for those who cant do math for shit, it is worth it to buy the PS3 just to use the bluray drive as compared to buying a standalone player- not to say id do it for that reason. I don't do consoles, i like gaming- email - instant messaging - etc all in one,(i also have issues with certain games and joysticks - i need my asdw and mouse for walking and driving). I get enough use out of my expensive pc to justify spending extra money on it and maintain it. You have to admit it is nice to not have to worry about your game crashing or needing a patch, sure there are small issue with console games here and there but for the most party its hard to justify why anyone would do pc gaming.
