Battlefield is a badass game with war-like complexity that I have dreamed about since the days of contra and commando on my NES. Tanks dueling it out over complex terrien and city streets, helicopters providing support and planes dogfighting overhead intense infantry combat with medics, c4 traps, claymores, snipers and even hand to hand kinife combat. Commanders watch, strtegically order units, and send in artillary birrages. WIth massive layers of combat and teamwork elelments one might think BF2 lives up to its name and is a true modern battlefield.
BUT there is MORE!!!!
There is also the geo-political element to the game. Yes, it is true; those poor week nations of noobs and forum bitches have been conquered by the bunny-hopping, c4-tossing, dolphin-diving, helicopter-horing, tank-spawn-campling, teamwork-blackhawk masters of battlefield 2. These poor and defeated armies have decided that its too much work to learn the skills and strategies needed to combat the masters and instead have appealed to the BF2 UN aka EA/Dice for international gaming aid.
EA/Dice has obliged these defeated nations and has ordered the strong to surrender their weapons and "fight fair". To enforce their decree the BF2 UN has proposed sactions that will be implemented into a future patch. The forums rejoice with the news of their impending liberation from the leet of BF2. Their political appeal has paid off. The leet masters maybe winning the battle in the air and on the ground, but becase they were too busy honing their warrior skills they lost the propaganda war on the forums.
With the sactions impending the leet race to gather all the riches they can. Gold ordanance badges, 203 kills, tv-missile kills, gernade tosses, and plundering spwans as much as possible.
Oh woe to us grunts! Us visigoths; so adept at combat, but so poor in the art of politics. Who would of thought BF2 was so complex? Who would of thought that despite your kick-ass combat stats you would lose the war outside of the account server? Personally I think internet comabt is gotten a little too compelx.
