Shouldn't this be the HAHO (high altitude high opening) ribbon? If you do a HALO jump from, say, a Titan, you're not going to be spending more than a couple seconds in the parachute, as opposed the 10-second requirement.

Just my 2 cents/pence/whatever.

HALO - High Altitude, Low Opening is an event when somebody jumps off a transport and releases his parachute at low altitudes.
HAHO - High altitude, high opening is when a guy jumps off a transport and releases his parachute at high altitudes and slowly descends instead of free falling

Not true, I did the jump from the Titan and got the ribbon. Took 11 seconds to get down.

HALO requires more courage than HAHO..

if you jump HALO and the parachute won't open - you got 1-5 seconds to solve the problem.

if you jump HAHO and the parachute won't open - you got maybe 1+ min.

Not true, I did the jump from the Titan and got the ribbon. Took 11 seconds to get down.

well BF: MC had an award similar to HALO badge, it was like pull out parachute at the last second.

The actual HALO jump is only used over water, people(usually special forces) deploy their cutes just high enough so they dont break all of their bones when they hit the water, usually about 100m(cant really remember). This makes it so the 'enemy' cant see them on a radar.
