Went back to Karkand thinking it would be an easy place to pick up a few basic badges, awarded 2. I could not believe what I saw when I got there. The server I was on was like a wild wild west shootout. No organization or teamwork just a simple 'If it moves, Kill it' attitude. One game I was TKed 6 times by idiots running around a corner and just shooting (or lauching). Every game it was at least 2 or 3 TKs.

Got my Basic Engineering Combat and Medical Combat badges but my Basic Medical Badge was impossible. People screaming "I Need a Medic I Need a Medic" but they wont stop or even slow down. By the time you get to their location all you find is a duffle bag. And don't even think about reviviing someone, if you stop your dead, probably a TK.

Bottom line, if you want some mindless senseless slaughter, get on a bus to Karkand. You won't be dissapointed, I guarantee it.

Problems posting this the first time. If it comes up twice, sorry.

What about Engineer? There are a few great chokepoints for mines and close combat shotgunning rules.
Good description. It is a bit like a Wild West shootout - especially at that first point.

I got my Basic Explosives Badge using AT Mines on Karkand, and I didn't even get a TK with them that round.  I was shocked...

AT Mine + APC full of dudes = win!

Basic question. If you place your mines then die, will you get credit for a kill when you respawn and someone goes over the mine?

Yes you will.

yes, but mostly it shows as, e.g:

Tyferra[killed]nub

I'm not sure if that counts as an explosive kill or not.

I agree. Rare is there a place in Karkand that a sniper can sit in peace and quiet. I most definitely switch to a support kit after the first firefight.

I happen to disagree. When you are playing on a 64 Karkand, I find that idiots tend to ignore the fact that there might be snipers around. Therefore, they stand still or focus on killing your teammates on the ground. Since it's so close, headshots are easy, and if you have a '24 or a '95...well, you get the idea. I can get about 30-5 in a decent round on a full Karkand server.

I disagree, a Vod can give a sniper ALOT of peace and quite. . .

That on top of allies with only 1-2 side street entrances.  Just lay in the ally and claymore the side ways in.  Safe and sound. . .  untill you hear that loud boom.  then it is time to move again.

Hahaha. I like how you put it but I disagree. Look at my stats. I've played mostly (What am I saying, only Karkand!) and if there's a problem with the crazy medics, just say so in that game. A good commander, a decent squadleader can make all the difference. If they are a good leader, they know how to make the game fun.
A squadleader in a tank is a noob. Only 1 guy can spawn at him, and if he stays in the tank, nobody can spawn at him. A good squadleader knows that and tries to avoid getting in those situations. Also when he dies, making another squadleader so that people can spawn at him defines a good leader.
A commander can pep his team. Say where to go, say what to do, say where what is etc. I've been a commander over 100 hours. A game can be very cool if players tend to listen to you, and you give them good orders. No rampage wild west setting. Just fun!
