I've never been killed by a friendly sentry gun. Even when I run right in front of it, it stops the instant I would have been shot and waits for me to pass. If you guys die to what you think are friendly, then maybe it's really an enemy sentry (hard to tell, with this game showing enemy mines, claymores, beacons, etc).

I love defending a console with apm's AND rdx packs. I place apm's near the entrance to the corridor but not so close to eachother that they both go off, then I place rdx after those in case I need to detonate that if the apm's don't get everybody. Then I usually have a support guy place a sentry behind all that and leave me an ammo box.

gaymores. i think i've only been killed by sentry guns like 2 or 3 times in 60+ hours of game play. Most of those were probably when i was low on health, they aren't exactly smart shooting guns.
Bah APM without a doubt. Sentry guns are quite easy to avoid.
I hate that dang sentry gun. They really need to do something about it's detection range. Is a little to sensitive. It's always finding me and blowing my cover. (though I am sure I will fell differently about it when i unlock it)
