wow this is a really popular topic......first.....
fishing with explosives was common practice in vietnam....it was called using DuPont lures. most explosives then and still now are produced by dupont lol. just like the miniguns are produced by GE the same people that own NBC....lol what is GE's motto "we bring good things to life" lol and appearently death very quickly.
second. home boy that said he would like the shoot the uzi. no you dont. trust me that gun is crap. damn thing jammed a round pointing back at a bystander....very scary moment. wont pick it up again....besides that is has the weight close to an M4 and it only shoots a 9mm, a very inefficiant round.
third, and this one is very important so please forgive the caps.
NEVER POINT A GUN AT ANYONE. EVEN IF U KNOW IT IS UNLOADED. BE SURE OF YOUR BACKSTOP. BE SURE OF YOUR BACKSTOP.(sorry thats an important one.) DO NOT PUT YOUR FINGER ON THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOU ARE READY TO SHOOT. AQUIRE TARGET, TRIGGER SQUEEZE.
FOR ALL YOU IDIOTS OUT THERE THAT WANT TO POINT GUNS AT PEOPLES HEADS, I HAVE SEEN FIRST HAND WHAT A KEL-TEC .38O DOES TO THE SIDE OF SOMEONES HEAD AT POINT BLANK. THAT WAS DARWINISM AT ITS FINEST, AND SO ARE YOU FOOLS. JUST MAKE SURE YOU DONT LEAVE A MESS BEHIND. YOU MAKE RESPONSIBLE GUN OWNERS LOOK HORRIBLE WITH YOUR IMMATURE ACTIONS. I WISH THAT EVERYONE COULD HAVE SEEN WHAT I DID, IT WAS THE #1 WAY TO UNDERSTAND GUN SAFETY.
and for the guy that was talking about people being killed with their own guns because they were to long and therefore easier to get. that is true however we come back to the point of over powered rounds. if anyone has a neighbor anywhere near them i urge you for your sake and your neighbors sake to get a shotgun. go to a local shooting range or gun store and ask their advice on a home defense round. i shoot a #4 birdshot out of my 20 ga mossberg pump. it will penetrate and stop anyone that comes near me, but drywall will decrease the velocity enough not allow anyone behind to get seriously injured(like getting hit with a weak bb gun). as for people getting it away from me, i doubt that will happen it is a very short gun(pistol grip) and it is fired from the hip. it has to be fired from the hip. if anyone ever gets a pistol grip shotgun DO NOT try to aim down the barrel or you WILL be going to the hospitol having them put your face back together. now, my walls are drywall so i limited myself to that round. other people have different walls sheetrock etc. i also am limited due to the fact that it is a 20 ga. but that cant change because i am married and my wife needs to be able to use it if she was ever forced to. but i would seriously look into a shotgun. and all the home defenders out there please know your laws in the state you reside. alot of people think that they can shoot someone if they enter your house period. that is not the case anywhere, and while i cant tell you the laws for your state missouri goes like this: we are a flight state. that means you have to try to run BEFORE you shoot. if you cant run you need to get to the furthest point in your house away from said person. if that person pursues you, you must announce that you have a gun and if said person continues pursuit and does not allow you any other alternative you may fire, and fire again, and fire again. now the laws for my CCW(concealed carry weapon license) are even more complicated, so i MUST know them to carry my kimber.
the second point in this talk about defense weapons is that you must hit your target. i have never been in a combat situation(been close), but i can tell you that a shotgun is much easier to get a hit with in a house than it is to use a single round(rifle of pistol). of coure its completely up to you, but i just thought i would tell you all the options. hope it helped a little.
and as for guns getting stolen and used in crimes. that is a shame and can probably be attributed to the same type of people that point guns at each other. i can say for myself and the poeple that i shoot with on a regular basis that no one can get to any of my guns. thats not saying that every single one is locked up, but they would have to find them first. i placed firearms at certain points in my house when i was renovating and they have stayed there. i know no one would find them ever. they are in certain spots INSIDE of my walls that only my wife and i know about. if anyone would like to know how to do this i would be happy to explain, however it is a long post and this one is already long enough so just say something and i will explain the process to you......anyway im sure ill talk to you guys again soon. later.
derek
edit;oh and my intent on any of these posts was never to offend anyone so im sorry if i have. just tryin to help/put my two cents in.
