I did a search and did not find the answer to my question, so here goes.

I was on a Gamecenter.com server playing Wake 2005. I was on the USMC side and went as a medic.

While waiting for a way off the carrier I was healing and reviving teammates after bomb and arty strikes. I also revived a couple of people that were TK'd by some smacktards that were going for the jets and attack helo. I was not associated with these retards in any way and was really only trying to help. {and get the revive points of course}

Tried to get to shore on the Blackhawk a couple of times and didn't make it. Respawned and repeated above waiting for the next ride. Made it once and gunned down a couple of enemys and died a glorious death.

Respawned one more time and as I was getting in the helo I got the "you are being kicked for excesive team killing" message. Booted and another kick showed up in my stats. {that is now 3}

I had no teamkills at all. Every one of the 3 or 4 people I gunned down were enemys and were reflected as so on the screen and in my score that I checked just prior to the kick.

I was not flying the helocopter so I was clean there as well.

Now my question:

If you heal or revive others that were the victims of a Tk does this accrue against you as if it were a TK? I revived maybe 4 or 5 Tks on the Essex in between attempts to get to the shore. I got a revive point as normal every time.

Is this some way to keep idiots from stat padding?

I won't be losing any sleep over the kicks or anything like that, but I consider myself a clean player and of the 2 kicks I had before this 1 is for a high ping {oh well couldn't control that} and the other was a suicide freak that wanted me to pay for taking "his" tank so he kept jumping under the tracks.

Thanks for answering, even after a couple of hundred hours I still keep finding out stuff about this game!

I usually get the a kick to make room for clan members but for something like an inappropriate name or excessive teamkilling when I haven't teamkilled, I know because I earned the Good Conduct Ribbon that round (had to earn it again a few rounds later in another server... )

It's not really so much of a problem now since a lot of those servers know me by now as I join their squads and talk to them over VoIP; nothing like a freelance teamplayer that wants to help out a clan )

Thanks hadn't thought of that. It seemed a little personal at the time.

Yer one of my friends goes  on my comp on his account and starts team killing for no bloody reason. He gets killed of the internode server and loggs off his account. I log onto my account and try to join a internode server. It said that it had banded me from the sever. I dont understand that part.

bad luck. more annoying are these whining admins who kick players killing them with arty on carrier or only with a gun in a capturable flag. happened to me a few days ago. i was really pissed and decided to create an award for those people. its called the whining-admin-ribbon. i just send it to bf2idiots.com, maybe u can have a look at it at any time on www.bf2idiots.com/awards.html

Most bans are done of the CD/DVD hash.
So if someone uses your PC to play BF2 on there account and gets banned, its your CD/DVD hash that gets banned. So you wont be able to play on the servers that your hash got banned on.

all but 2 of my kicks have been for high pings...

one of them was an admin kicking be for taking one of the boats on Wake Island at the beginning of the round even though there was only one other person there and he had already driven off in the other boat...
