Wake for 2142, i would consider buying the crap game to. Also its not impossible to get onto the island, you just need to know how to do it. You need to be a Wake Veteran. Next up Battlefield Wake!

The PAC or trying to invade europe, the last bit of unfrozen land but isn't wake island somewhere off the coast of japan or something?
+1 Best answer yet. And stkhoplite, Wake didn't make sense in BF2 either if you want to fit it in a storyline. It was just a favorite of many so it was included. Wasn't my favorite if I was coming off the carrier, so I played other maps that were more balanced. As the Dr. pointed out above, things would be different in 2142 - no jets and gunships and air transports are faster.doctastrangelove1964 wrote:

If the Ice sheet didn't even totally cover Europe (Hence why there are Europe maps) what makes you think that Wake is gonna be frozen? It's bang in the middle of the pacific
That means it would be the same Wake, maybe new buildings. One problem is that it's a water heavy map and 2142 has ZERO water vehicles (The hover tanks can't even hover over water) so it would be kinda crap. But you'd have titans so i dunno.....

There are practically no water vehicles in Wake 2007. Just those RIBs which are basically suicide. Fat, slow and weak, just waiting for a J-10 to come along...

To make it relevent it ought to be in an expansion, one where North and South America must fight.
