Yeah, its kinda a controversial topic. Basically Schmidt designed the original straight bolt designed used up until the Schmidt-Rubin 1911. But with the K31 with Swiss army redesigned the bolt thus making it shorter and not a Schmidt design (he was dead by then anyway). I kinda lean towards thinking that its still sorta Schmidt's design, but by and large its not considered a Schmidt-Rubin by those of us who own and shoot them.BigmacK wrote:
