BF2 Problems

I'm getting this problem in BF2 where in the middle of gameplay it just minimizes. It happens about every 30 seconds or so. My system specs are as follows:

Intel Pentium 4 2.53 ghz
1gb Corsair RAM PC 3200
x800GTO 256
450w Rosewill PSU
Not sure about mobo

Help would be appreciated, thanks.

Edit: I do have the latest patch.

I can't imagine this being a hardware problem. It's rather caused by some software issue.

Talk to each other (PM) and see if you can find out if you there's some software (AntiVir, Firewall, etc.) you both have running in the background. That might cause it.

Unfortunately that's the only tip I can give you.

did you tried to re-install the game and re-patch .... this solve lots of problem generally !

No I havent tried that yet. I restarted my computer, I'm going to find out if that solved it.

Your problem I get filling is caused by BG program running, try the following.

Start > run> type-in> msconfig > go start up and hit disable all then hit apply and hit close it will ask you to restart the PC, hit restart the windows, it will load back up windows and bring up big Pop up soon as your windows loads telling u, u just made changes tick the box and hit close,

Now start up BF2 and see if you still have same problems. ( if you do make sure all the firewalls are off when playing BF2, as it does not like firewalls when game is running )

Hope this will help you a bit if you still having troubles post up and I will see what I can come up with.

I( had this problem a year ago, it turns out it was a pop ups problem. I downloaded AVG, ran it and got rid of the spyware, everything was fin afterwards and has been since.

Im sure its definately pop ups.

With me.. i tried reinstall and patch again (the full patch).. No programs runs automatically updates..

But is there something with the keyboard, just a thought, ex. if i press CTRL for a few seconds, all programs minimize??????????

Its not a big problem with the minimize, it don't happen all the time, but when i does, big things are happening.. lol

I use ZonaAlarm. Never had a problem with it before (Only my MSN) and i tried to close it.. its all the same.

Beware of my spelling I'm danish...

It didn't work with the msconfig changes... But i tried a old keyboard, and it have not minimized yet..
