So I'm considering getting a new headset, I'm really sick of the one I have not working with BF2 VOIP, but wasn't really sure what to get. The one I have now is USB, and I think that has something to do with why it isn't working, so getting something not USB is probably preffered unless someone knows what is going on or has a USB mic that works. So what headset do you use/want, and why do you like it?

I just have a POS regular $19.95 headset. It uses regular speaker and mic jacks. Works fine....Just depends on how much bass you want to hear and if you want a stand-alone mic I guess.

I had problems with a USB headset, also.  For instance, if I didn't have it plugged in before booting the game, it wouldn't work.  (And you know how long it takes to reload)
I bought a Sennheiser PC150 headset with mic. for about $60. http://www.sennheiserusa.com/newsite/pr … sid=005351  They do not completely enclose the ear, which gives better base, but for the same reason your ears don't sweat.
The cord is quite thin which make me question how long they'll last, but they sound better than any headsets that I've ever owned.

As far as my mic, I can't get it to work in BF2 at all. You say that set doesn't completely enclose your ear, are they still comfortable?

Awesome!  What a coincidence.  I was just about to get a new one too!  I've been looking at this one.  It got very good reviews, and is only $20 on buy.com.  Pretty good deal!

I got this shizzle, even has the bf2 logo, picked it up for 8 bucks while on vacation, just randomly saw it and bought it.

How the heck is that $100 headset only 20 there! I'd say it's a good deal.

I find them very comfortable, now.  They have a cushion on the top of the head that took a little getting used to.  My friend has a head like an orange on a toothpick and he says they squeeze his head too hard, but he is a freak.

Very good deal at that!  I'm ordering it tonight!  Before that I had (and still have) a Logitech Extreme PC Gaming Headset.  It goes behind the neck, with decent sound (read "crappy" for you audiophiles out there), but a good mic.  It kinda hurts after a while, but a plus is that it has a 10 ft. cord.  It's analog btw.  I got it for $15 after rebate, but the mic finally conked out on me after a year.  I'm eventually gonna RMA it, but I'm too lazy.  In fact, I rather type a whole paragraph about it than send it back .  The mic being broken might have something to do with me accidentally yanking the cord or running it over with my rolling chair at least thrice a day.
