in English, bf2142 will have spy-ware (stuff that tracks your internet behaviour) so you can get "useful ads" in-game.

I love realism so I usually stay away from futuristic games but this is not too bad.

I quite like the titan mode, it's a lot more fun than conquest even though it can be a bit messy inside the titans. It's really hard to see if one is friend or enemy at close range cos the name tags are so high above the head and uniforms don't differ much. Suddenly someone runs by me without shooting so I think "wtf who? ahh friendly" and then *bang* he'd put explosives at my feet Still fun though.

I wish they could bring back some old classic guns like a G3 or something, that would be nice. I hate how the biggest chunkiest sniper rifle ever is bolt action lol. The main reason for a sniper not to choose a semi automatic rifle is that a bolt action is usually lighter since it doesn't have the same feed mechanism so why would anyone choose the standard rifle in this game but yes it's just game... Otherwise the guns are quite OK, it's nice to see a few weapon designs that have been inspired real guns like G36, MP7, etc... oh and I hate eu's pistol. A revolver

Big plus is much faster loading times than BF2 and not near as much lag in the beginning of new maps.

Seems to be some problems with the stats... again. Didn't they learn from BF2?! Only points and unlocks are updating. No pins, ribbons, etc. and no stats in all those diagrams.


That's about what I can think of for now.

Seen a few other bugs which I hope will be taken care of, does anyone know what the first patch fixed?

Played last pm for the first time. Like it but don't love it. Still need more time to make my list. Love the hover tank though. Makes me queezy!

EA hit a home run!  I had no lag . . . none, zip, zilch, nada.  Not one CTD, no red bug, no squad bug . . . no problems at all.  And the combat was 10 times more intense than BF2 on the 64 player server I was on.  The EAX sound puts you right there where the bullets are flying. Field upgrades are sweet and allow you to try out the unlocks so you know what to pick when you rank up.  And no logging out to pick your unlock.  You can pick it right away in game as you rank up!  Bravo EA!

I still didnt played 2142 and i wont buy it in the upcomming future.I only watched a few in-game trailers and i think that UT 2K4 can do nearly the same.Why do i say this ?

I think that after 1 year of bf2 players still like to play it and enjoying the "todays" army and vehicles.There are players who have fun,chill with friends..so not hardcore playing and statspadding like "Cool i finished bf2 and i reached the highes rank and i got all medals"
So i will still sticking with bf2 and maybe....maybe or prolly i buy 2142...but not now..in 1-2 years maybe.
For the ones who will start to play it i say...have fun and plz play some bf2 also so dont uninstall it

And as some of you guys said.....just a mod of bf2....I say just another "Booster Pack" lol

This expresses one of my big dislikes ... I have to pay for it.  But here's my list:

Dislikes
(1)  Questionable Value.  I have to pay for a game that I'm not sure is worth the money, and the demo did nothing to convince me that the game is worthwhile.  Plus, from what I'm seeing on these forums, once I use it then I cannot resell it if I'm disappointed with it .... spyware ... disabling Windows security features?   This is horrible engineering.  At this point, I'm going to see if this is another EF unless I got the game as a gift (maybe spawnofthemist will give me one of his licenses  ). 
(2)  Unrealistic gun inaccuracy.  The guns of the future are horribly innacurate.  Bullets were coming out of the gun at 5 degree angles?  In the future, I would expect all guns to have aimbots, yet there is no accuracy improvement in the guns since BF1942... even the sniper rifle seems like it is drunk.  This inaccuracy takes me out of the fantasy of "being in the game" because it becomes unbelievable.
(3)  A walker that can't do its job.  The mech walker can't get over 1-2 foot obstacles ... isn't that the point of a walker?????????????

Have not played it, don't intend to.  I don't like futuristic games.  I'm looking into ArmA though.

I've played the demo.

I like the newness.
Titan mode is cool, same feeling about the uniforms being a little hard to tell apart.
the expanded kit choices are cool.

All in all, kinda not that excited.
