Well i already have a BF2 account for online and im a corprol and used all my unlock points, though i heard that if you get special forces, you get an extra unlock point for every rank. So if i buy special forces, does that mean i get those 2 unlock points. I know its confusing but if anyone out there can help me it would be greatly appreciated.

- Question before buying.
you get two just for purchasing it i think. Its a great add on. Better than Vanilla IMHO
Oh so right when i install it i get 2 unlocks? sweet. well can anyone else confirms this?
Once you play one round in SF, and then disconnect, you will be able to choose more unlocks.Kissmybumper wrote:

Since you are a corp. You will get to choose 2 more right after.
Alright thank you so much for your help guys.
every rank you go up, you can chose 2 unlocks!
No problem man.Kissmybumper wrote:

You get an extra unlock for each unlock you would have in vanilla BF2. I had 4 unlocks and installed BF2:SF and got another 4 straight away
Don't buy SF because of the unlocks (they are just a nice to have bonus), buy it because it's the best BF2!

I too wouldn't buy SF just for the tier-two unlocks. But as others have said it's well worth the money for the different maps and the variation in gameplay.
Be sure to buy it online, it's bound to be cheaper!
SF kept me (relatively) sane during the long First Sergeant to Sergeant Major stint. It gives you something different to do and a few new medals to achieve while waiting to get the darned 50K. I probably would have stopped playing otherwise.
SF FTW!!!! It took me while to get into it .. but now its 90% of what i play when playing bf2.

All I play now is SF. With the exception of EF on our 24/7 Great Wall server.
With SF, there is virtually no tking for vehicles. Better opposition, better (and more balanced) maps, new armies, new weapons and people who actually know what they are doing. The choppers arent as dominant, however, they do still kick ass.
Dont get it for just the unlocks. I did that at first before I was a 1stSgt, playing about 20hours worth and stopping. I have only been playing it SF since I hit 1stLt, and seriously, it is so much better than vanilla due to the average IQ of the players being double that of the majority of people in vanilla.

What happends if your a 3 star guy and then you buy SF, how do you get the unlocks then?
I'm pretty sure you'll get all the remainign unlocks if you are a general. But buy it for superior gameplace
PS you signature takes awhile even on broadband to show up. Stop lagging !

It's much the same as if you were a corporal, had chosen your two unlocks so far and then played SF... next time you logged in to the game after being on an SF map the unlock screen would be there and allow you to pick however many were appropriate.Doggehspike wrote:

1 sec of SF gives u 2 unlocks per rank. even if u are a general u get 7 new unlocks!
But as the other guys said buy it because it is the best Bf2.
Btw u unlock flashbangs with the F2000..........Nice

Yeah i understand that im not just buying it for the unlocks, also because i know theres a lot more to do. BTW, if i get SF, i get to unlock new guns like the L96A1 and the FN2000 in regular battlefield 2 right?
Since my computer doesn't work with SF, I just installed SF and uninstalled it, now I get 2 unlocks each time I rank up
And yes, you can. Say you rank up in SF, you can unlock a SF gun, and it will still be available for you to use in BF2. Or if you rank up in BF2, you can unlock a vanilla gun, and a SF gun.

You can also just log in to a computer with sf installed and you get all sf unlocking ability
Yes, all the SF weapons become 2nd unlocks.Kissmybumper wrote:

Yes, that's the key advantage to having SF if you like any of the tier-two unlocks since they become available to you in vanilla BF2.Kissmybumper wrote:

Funny thing though, in case you haven't heard before, the L96A1 isn't in Special Forces itself. So if you're sniping on SEAL or SAS you have the M24 and M95 to choose from and for all of the other sides it's a choice between the SVD and the M95. This leaves you at a noticeable disadvantage against SEAL or SAS snipers in one-on-one shooting matches but it does help teach caution
Ok so basically if i have SF, i can have the new secondary unlocks in regular bf2. So i just install SF, play multiplayer once, log out, play BF2 online and i have my 2 unlock points and SF unlockable guns available right?
buy it for the unfair advantage that all the other nubs have ><
