I'm not gonna bash 2142- I like playing it. But there's things that really frustrate me;
The weapons sound&look nice...but they somehow never truly feel powerful. The problem i experience here is that it takes me too long to kill someone, wheras when that person turns around I'm dead. for clarification, I'm not a noob, I'd like to consider myself the average bf player, and so I'm very familiar with this effect as this happened countless of times in BF 2 as well...but it's even more frustrating in the demo.
The point is, the infantry gameplay has a strange feel to it, also thanks to the anti-pronespamming feature that i can't come to grips with. Why should I lose a battle because I drop to the floor and start shooting, then want to relocate and find I can't return fire for what seems like a very precious second - an all the while the enemy is standing there with his support gun, turns around, and takes away my heavy armor and 100% health in an amazingly lucky(?) spray.
I just can't understand the crosshair as it moves closer and further (indicating accuracy, yes i know). If its so far apart for me when walking, shouldnt it be as far apart for them, a Support guy turning around?
My problem is that I'm losing far too many 1 on 1 infantry battles, when I used to be pretty good at this in BF 2. I run out of a clip amazingly fast, and while I may have done 3/4 damage...the enemy, whether clan member or (apparant) noob can take me out with 1 clip. (no matter what gun...and I really hate that SMG)
So what's the technique here? Besides camping corridors in the Titan?
