lmao. I remember when opengl was getting big, how people(including me) would be like "wow, the first time I saw q1 in opengl, I creamed myself" LOL.

Yeah it looked all smoother than the normal low quake 1 settings.Plus all the +mlook so you could move the mouse everywhere.I can mainly remember playing dm4 with 6 players all of us laughing are heads off as one of my friend discharged the room with his lighting gun in the lava.

The joys i can't believe my TNT2 32mb ran it too lol,

Heh.  The first video card I ever installed was an ancient EGA ISA card.  I think it had 256K of memory on it.  This was back in 1988.

My own?
In my 486-100 with 16mb of ram I installed a Matrox Mistique (sp?) 2mb.  I think it was called EISA.  It was when they added a 2nd slot to the right of the standard ISA and called it EISA. 
The card came with a sooped up better graphics version of MechWarrior and a couple other games.
I had already installed hundreds of video cards since I was working in a small mom and pop computer shop at the time.
