Barney Frank and his aids ( erm...I mean aides) allegedly ran a male prostitution service out of his Washington offices. Not only that, but he picks his nose and eats his boogers!

He’s still in office.

I’m waiting for the Republicans to be demanding the Democrats leaders resignation over it...oh wait, this happened about 1990.
That guy is a disgrace to America!

And I'm talking about Mark Foley.

I’m just shocked, shocked! that the democrats circled the wagons around Barney Frank, but yet are calling for the speaker of the houses head over Mark Foley!

btw, I have two employees that make that much, and a few that make a little less. Thats a good wage, and I'm sure you have some skills and smarts to justify it.

Damn you alex, i was going to get to Frank, but you know it's not his fault his boyfriend, i mean "assistant", was running a male escort service with underage boys out of Frank's own apt., it was only his apartment after all, he has no idea what goes on there

Wasnt there another Lib that had sex with his aides but when he was called on it he fought against getting fired, then quit, got re-elected and spent another 13 years in office? I cant recall his name but he WAS having sex and the Con was just WRITING about it. Whats the worse offense?

If the page was 18+ years old, this wouldn't have been a story, but this kid was 16 at the time, and Foley may have offered him alcohol and had an encounter with him (which coincidentally might violate the law that he himself wrote).

This has nothing to do with Foley being gay, by all accounts his orientation was known for years prior, but pedophilia rarely has anything to do with the sexuality of the perpetrator. It's usually about power over others, the "others" in most cases being children because they have fewer legal recourses and are usually taken less seriously than adults.

Yeah, I hate to say it ATG but he's right, you're fighting a losing battle on this one. Hypocrisy doesn't get much worse than child molestation, especially to the degree Foley took it too.

The righteous lose battles every now and then, but in the end come out victorious.
