Usually someone tells me that
HELL YEAH
well yeah of course i tell them.. played with -=GOTYA=- and he lined me up very nice... told him several times... he rocked... play quite alot with Tauri1980 and hes very good... has a shity K/d but thats because he flys all the time and never sitts as a gunner.... so i have to agree that k/d on choppers dont show if your a good pilot... just how selfish u are... it sucks sitting as gunner if the guy thats flying doest give u a clear shot even once... (plane k/d shows if your good or not)
Allways tell the pilot if is good... gives him a boost... and increases my chances of sitting gunner... since i suck at flying my self...
A TIP TO ALL PILOTS AND GUNNERS...... GET HEAD SETS!!! PLZ
head sets and choppers are the ultimate cheat... so easy to rule the whole round... + playing in a squad with headsets rulz pretty hard to.. when u write people dont giva a crap... but when u shout they cant ignore u...

I always tell my gunner or pilot they are doing good. Conversely, I also tell them if they are doing a crappy job. I have to tell the latter more often.
I'd definitley congratulate a good pilot if i was with one. I hate the people who take off and then crash into the nearest piece of ground. Especially when they just loaded a transport copter up....
I always say to my pilot they are good if they are doing good.
I was on Gulf of Oman working on my Aerial Service Ribbon. I jumped in the copilots seat and the pilot was damn good. He kept lining up shots for me w/ the laser-guided missles and I kept knocking 'em down. I ended up with 24-25 kills that round and my ASR. So THANKS whoever you were (can't remember his name)!!
well i got 3500 driver assists and i point people when i have a decent gunner .. but what about when your gunner sucks or you dont have one at all ?? my case alot ..i think chopper ratio does matter ..im assuming you play with a buddy / clan guy all the time to get that many driver points ...
also after he shoots the tv and something else pops up its up to you to take care of it ..and i dont like to depend on anyone *unless im in the mi* to take out stingers ..ill let my gunner take a shot with the tv in a dogfight but if he misses its up to you to win ..there are alot of situations where the driver has to take em out therefore the ratio matters =p

I would say im a alright pilot if your ever with me you'll know why buit i do have a habit of flying about 10 off of the ground at 350Knts so it seems like your bombing along then you may suddenly be dead either because i crashed or i had to go do some thing.
Dear God please let my karma one day reach 100, whether it be tomorrow or 1000 years in the future i want it to happen.
I was told I was a good pilot by someone (in the SU34/F15). I think he just sucked, though, because I was lining up shots for him and he never once used his laser guided missiles.
I've had very, very few good heli pilots. Most of the time they fly way below the enemy heli making it impossible to aim your cannon at it. Or they fly into trees.

I agree. I think the majority i manage to get stuck with suck the big wazoo, but when i notice a pilot flying good, i let him know. One time it actually got the guy to stick with me for a couple rounds. All it really took was opening up that line of chat and we ended up teaming up and doing some pretty good damage. Theres more than one benifit to letting your pilot know he's doing his job well..:ronin:.|Patton wrote:
truth is im hardly ever satisfied with pilots, i mean most of them dont know evasive manuvers like i do, i tell them what to do to manuver but 99% of them blow me off. the ones that listen to me and line me up targets are excellent, and i congradulate them.
I always compliment a good pilot, and have been told that myself - on one of my good days! They don't happen as often as I would like...yet....
flew with a guy called silent hunter, brilliant pilot, i cant fly for shit.
even managed to get all my kills as a bombardier sitting with him in 1 round.

I've been told on numerous occasions how good of a chopper pilot I am. The best one I can remember is when a guy managed to get 3 ribbons and a badge in one round of gunning with me.
But I have a bomber jet pilot who I laser missle for, and he's one of the best in the world, and I tell him how good he is at it all the time. lol

Yes, I always tell them that. Those attack choppers are pretty damn hard to fly as it is, but when your ducking and swooping and everything, that's just amazing.
not true, KD is the best stat to reflect how good you are with something, cause lower KD means you are better at not getting hit, or better at killing them first, either way, both are good traitsslidero wrote:
K/D ratios in choppers mean pretty much nothing.chitlin wrote:
you got a 1.7 chopper ratio .. looks like you need to practice them evasive manuevers youre so good at
the only exception, is someone like me, I have a few guys I know that are great gunners, and so I usually get them the vast majority of kills, so my KD isnt as high as it could be, but im still one of the best helo pilots in the game

Yes I do.
I had this one really good pilot in the BH. Unlike other BH pilots who just blindly go after the base without thinking about the vision range of their gunners, this guy knew how to position his gunners. I got 32 kills in that round.
Too bad my ribbon never showed up...

I like to steal kill's from my chopper pilot. If it turns out im in chopper with a pilot that is a bit of a missile hero, ill go for the last second TV shots as he drops his nose down to missile...heck i even TV troops for the fun of it, nothing like hitting 3 medics trying to revive a guy, with a nice TV shot.
Yes, I praise my pilot when deserved. I have had a few. One of my favourite jet pilots was called
=s[O]a=Macedonian. I think he was anyway. he was Macedonian something with all the squiggles and shit. See, that's why I hate clan tags!
I'm pretty sure it is anyway. he's a fellow New Zealander and it says his favourite veichle is a jet.
I also scourn those who fly me into powerlines. I tell people when I 'just don't trust their flying,' even before they crash.
One pilot of a chopper I had was a dare-devil to the max. He could fly extreamly well, but he made me feel nervous as a flushed turd the whole time. I told him I didn't trust his flying, but I also gave praise when things like his creepy, go-upside-down-through-the-smokestacks-thing worked. It forced the pursuing chopper into the ground.

there's nothing more gratifying than having a gunner say "yes, finally a good pilot"
on the other hand, there's nothing more annoying than someone that jumps in the gunner's seat and sucks, they don't seem to realize that I, as a pilot rely upon them to keep us safe as much as they rely on me...if you can't use the tv missle then stay out of my chopper, if you can't see the 5 enemies 200ft in front of us and/or can't kill them with the machine gun then stay out of my chopper...with me flying and a good gunner, there are VERY few things that will stop us other than teamkills from AA

oh yeah, and the best part about getting tk'd by friendly AA...someone else jumps in the chopper and takes it after you've just been cleaning up for the past 15 minutes
I know you've killed me a few times. But then again, just about anyone I've ever played against can say the same thing. I'm such excellent chopper fodder.redfoxster wrote:

im a good gunner and i think im decent as a chopper pilot. i usually take over if my pilot sucks and we do much better that way. the only thing ive got some issues with is lining him up for tv, where is the sight for the gunner located. the cannon sight is easy but the tv is slightly different so im not sure if im doing a good job
Today I had an awesome gunner. It was probably the best pilot/gunner combo I ever had. All I kept hearing was "good job lining up!" But then I had another guy gunning today and I'd line him up just the same and he just sat there like "uhh..." He would fire his TV missile with nothing around becuase he was bored and then get stuck reloading when there was a target. And he wouldn't shoot infantry, and when he did he'd miss, so I had to waste rockets. And he kept insisting he was good, and wouldn't let me and my gunner fly if we were on the helipad first, he'd come driving over with his jeep and someone get in instead. He was just doing it to be a tool. But yeah, with the good gunner, it was awesome. We had another guy on our squad, he was in a jet, went a whole round without dying. So the three of us had complete air superiority that round (US on Wake) and we still lost because ground troops couldn't get flags.
Even more annoying is when someone TKs you accidentally while in the chopper or plane, and then see them sitting on the helipad or hangar waiting for the chopper/plane to respawn so they can take it.||BFA||xZeler8 wrote:

Like yesterday, this one moron was flying the MiG on Kubra, my pilot and I were in the Su-30. My pilot is dead on the tail of the F-15, following him closely as the F-15 turns to repair/rearm on the runway. I saw the MiG on the minimap, right before he put his nose into our cockpit.
I can understand he didn't see us. But what bothered me is that instead of going to wait for the MiG, he decided to try to come get the Su-30 instead of going back for the MiG. Mind you there was NOBODY ELSE waiting for the planes. And of course, when he got worried he wouldn't get the plane he wanted, he TKed my pilot... which set off a series of TKs because I just kept reviving my pilot. (He probably noticed that as a laser gunner, I had a score of almost 100 already)
So this guy gets a teamwork score of something like -60 before we get an admin to ban him. The sad thing about it is, the MiG was sitting empty and available the entire time. If I can get his name, I'm posting it.
