i've pre-ordered 2142 and ea downloader is now saying the following:

'spel' -> 'game'
'beschrijving' -> 'description'
'aftellen tot' -> 'counting down untill'

it's counting down to Monday 9 Oct 2:00 officially there is nothing releasing on this date

will this be the demo or the full game??

i'm confused

You arent paying for the demo. Demos are free, they always will be. If you preordered the game, though, then you get to play the Demo a full 24 hours before anyone else

What? Who says you have to pay for the demo????

If you pre-order the game from EA downloader then you get the demo 1 day earlier than everyone else, but you don't have to pay for it.

As to what's downloadable on the 9th I'd agree it's probably the demo. Usual release date for EA stuff (patches, etc) is Tuesday so if you're getting it one day earlier, the 9th would seem right and we'll all get it on the 10th.

You don't. You paid for a pre-order of BF2142 on EA Downloader and with that you got the bonus of getting the Demo 24 hours earlier than everyone else.

When you're pre-ordering 2142 with ea downloader you can play 2142 on 17th of October even if youre in europe.
If you buy 2142 in some store you need to wait untill the 20th of October
