My problem is: If i instal Bf2 Then i can play with patch 1.1 But IF i instal an other patch i cant start up battlefield anymore

I believe the newer patches knocked off some of the graphics cards that could be used.
But as to which ones I cannot say, sorry. Visit the EA website or do a search on this forum and totalbf2.com forums.

Install BF2, then patch 1.4 right away, that might work.

Mmmmm.... Almost certain that the old Quatro/pro isn't supported by BF2 since SF arrived. You might want to think about getting a new GPU. The Quatro is so old, that you'd be needing the upgrade soon, anyway. If you have an old PC, try getting a used card, like a Geforce FX5900. They're VERY cheap on ebay and other auction sites.
