i agree had he hovered at a safe distance, or circled the area he could have tore them up more.VeNg3nCe^ wrote:

k, well Im not trying to prove my flying skills but appreciate positive feedback what I tried to explain was that when there is no communication and you have a noobie as gunner you can put him to work with simple explanation of watching the nose , I also think that other team sucked but they were winning the round and then we took the lead also you weren't able to create squads on USMC team while CH team could. And yes Im sure there are far better pilots than I am but that's not the point . And oh I flew with you before torr3nt

i dont get it, whats so special about that flying, its good but not THAT good
actually its very good, but me and my gunner could challenge:)
also doing that in 20 FPS enviroment is kind of difficult considering fraps eats FPS

Hell, why don't you pick me for gunner next time?
Hmm,not that my skills in the chopper are better than average(guess I never really tried, too many teamkillers on the helipads),but setting up the buttons for switching cameras was the first thing I did for the helis and jets,I even switch cameras in a tank or a jeep.
So,when I'm gunner in the heli I can switch between cockpit view/"panorama view" with the middle mouse button, chase rear and chase front are on the sidebuttons(basically it's for all vehicles kinda like that).
If I understood your F9 theory right -> You just tell a newbie gunner to use the cockpit view so he always knows where the pilot is looking at?
That's it?

Yes he doesnt have to use cockpit view but if you toggle F9 you get the idea where nose is at, nose is what I see so it kinda makes sense, I noticed a lot of gunners gun shit they not supposed to gun pilot knows the threat so it's best to know what he/she sees at all times.Mj.Blindfisch wrote:

Nothing against Alpine but, he is just an alright pilot (i mean above average) but he is not really amazing in any aspect, yet you all seem to warship im like he is god of helis. As vengence said, he really shouldnt dive bomb the flags that much and some of his manuvers are really really dumb, such as stalling on the building and flying low to the bridge. In my opinion that gunner was clearly a pretty good gunner and he probabally already knew to press F9 or C so he could get the better view.
Also regarding the statment that the joystick is the best for flying, i compltely disagree, the best option is to use BOTH sets of keys. Every heli pilot that i consider better than myslef or an equal uses the keys unless they are soloing, in which case they use the mouse. all of the mauveres done on this video i could have easily done using the keys or the keys and the mouse.
And for all you noobs that dont know how to use both sets of keys to fly, you use W A S D just like you would when you are using mouse, and then you use the arrow keys to control the pitch and yaw of the helicopter (replacement for mouse) and you use SPACE to shoot helfire missles.

This whole "F9" theory is still very confusing to me
Maybe he lived longer because of the nosediving and got more points anyway because he didn't had to return to the carrier or airbase for a fix?
Fom my expience nose diving is about the worst tactic when your only threat is tanks, cars and at troops. it really just makes your gunner rush for the kills and it is wayy easy to hit with an AT weapon or a tank shell.Choumichel wrote:

I would only be afraid of those if you were commander.stryyker wrote:

Oh crap! I remember that guy, czarek! Back when I was still an uber-n00b (now I'm just a n00b), I gunned for him on Wake. I got Veteran Sniper or something doing that, and my Crew Service Ribbon or Helicopter something or other. Anyway, if you can tell him, say thanks for me!alpinestar wrote:

OH MY FUCKING LEET!
That's the hottest chopper run I've ever seen, I never knew of the F9 trick.. Heading to the server and calling a pilot right now.
Really, man.. bad---ASS!

No, I'm not. It's almost impossible for me to fly a helo with a joystick.switchbladezz wrote:
