Well the patch eventually arrived and now the forums are full of problems and praise ! But I find it utterly unacceptable that they took so long to release the patch to the community and did not give us any more maps or something to say "sorry for keeping you waiting" > when they released the patch they had the cheek to mention 2142 , I was not at all interested in 2142 ;I wanted my game to stop crashing and connection problems to be resolved I wanted news pertaining to BF2 not 2142 after waiting so long.

I can’t believe that the mod teams release there hard earned work for us for free, like POE a fully fledged game in its own right, Yet EA cannot reciprocate with some free maps or allowing mods to be ranked? Or something.

The Battlefield franchise is a Big fat cow waiting to be milked and now with in game advertising being incorporated , I think they are pushing the boundaries a bit to far to generate revenues.

Since when have there been requirements that new maps and/or other new stuff should be added to patches?

Jalalabad IS their apology for fucking things up with 1.3 IMHO.

You KNOW the answer to why mods can't be made ranked: Balance, bugs and compatibility issues being just few of the reasons.

I have promised not to cry about EA/DICE. I advise you to do the same.

I'm sure it's been said 100 times before. If you aren't happy with EA, stop playing BF2 and don't play 2142. Nothings perfect, Bf2 is not perfect... but it's fun.

Yeah I know what u guys mean but Im not moaning complaining about the patch in fact the patch is not the issue at all.......it works fine for me.. Its about ETHICS................read my lips....ETHICS

It was the time it took to complete 1.4 we need compensation thats how I feel, Im sure Ea staff looks at the bf2s forums so I though Ide add my penny , shit everybody else does !

I see lots of people having problems with 1.4 and to be honest I was having similar problems - so I completely uninstalled bf2 and put it back on BF2 - SF - 1.3 - AF - 1.4 and now it runs better than ever, no CTD's, or lost connections and loading times in to maps has reduced dramatically. Perhaps a complete reinstall of the game might fix theings for you?

What ethics? It's not like they deliberately f-ed up with 1.3 which made the game a puddle of stinking dogvomit in an alley no one ever cleans. After a fuckup that big, they of course took their time not to repeat the same fuckup, i.e. patch 1.4.

ea owes us nothing they gave more to us than what we paid for so if your not happy you can stop playing or if you really want to get what you want make your own fucking game
