That amount of work and money spent to release a game in a beta form for testing is no small amount. Perhaps they wont get everything fixed for the release, but the game will not be exactly like the beta. They will fix what they can in the time given.

I've got the feeling that 1.0 won't be the most polished product ever, and it may be a sub-par release in terms of bugginess, but I think they'll have the major bugs ironed out for 1.0 and will quickly follow it up with a 1.1 which eliminates nearly all bugs. Then they'll take their sweet time about the second patch, so that they can get rid of the last of the bugs, not introduce new ones, and overall make it look like a new car fresh out of the plant. Third patch onwards will be introducing new content and fixing the bugs created by said new content.

Looking at the bugs they had in very very early versions, then at what we had in Beta 1 and again in Beta 2, i would say it looks very promising. The most annoying thing was the exploding titan (funny thing it only appeared in Beta 2), appart from that only some minor twists and tweaks. The game itself plays already well, so it is a lot better already than BF2 was at its release.
