I like how the fixed the tracers on the scout helicopters. The patch is great, but sometimes when I alt-tab back into BF2 it crashses. It's good though.

I ranted and bitched and moaned about 1.3... I got nothing bad to say for 1.4.
I haven't crashed, glitched, f'd up, etc, etc since I installed the full 1.4. I'm still not buying 2142, but at least I can keep playing BF2 and maintain sanity.

I couldnt even get 1.3 to work so I obviously I perfer 1.4! Im just happy to be playing again Though has every thing gotten slower, or is that just me? After the 1.3 disaster, I wont be buying 2142 ether.

I give the 1.4 patch a 7.5 out of 10 for the most part it a good improvement over 1.3 I hope the coders work out a few more bugs b-4 giving up. One thing i wish they would do is lower the time for SOME of the medals and badges i don't plan to be going for a medal 5 years from now..

I played the patch for the first time last night and thought it was fine (Had to wait for TWL and CAL approval). I did notice a couple of things different from how I used to play, but nothing that I can't adapt to. Crouch is so important now so learn to use the CTRL key.

jalalabad rocks.. exept there is a chance that usmc will be badly raped in inf only..
no ctd's at all... was able to hit the join button every single time...
just uninstalled everything then reinstall after defrag... BF2, SF.. then FULL patch... deleted ALL folders before doing so... so what if i had to reconfigure contrls.. that takes 30 seconds...

I hated how the 1.3 patch always booted me out of servers, but i loved the addition of vehicles being dropped when needed, expect when used are cartillery. >. With the 1.4 patch, I like the new map, but to me, its like Operation Harvest where the usmc are at a big disadvantage. Also, i like how they made it that cars cant be dropped on the carriers, eventhough i liked having drag races on the carrier deck before a match started. . I wish the programmers would prevent artillary from being used on the carrier.
I just realized I have been playing this patch for almost a week and I haven't seen a RED/BLUE nametag bug!!!
Even more important, haven't seen a single server crash.
I like this patch, I really do! Sadly they haven't removed the noobs in front of jet bug I hate taking off on wake by going backwards and then open full afterburner when pointing to the air. Takes so long.
Anyway, I like this patch! Finally a pretty good job by ea on 1.4. I know the complainers and whiners will never shut up, but this patch improved the gameplay again.

I seen the blue tag bug a couple of times (once last night on the EU server), but I dont care. No more server crashes!! As far as I'm concerned thats the whole story, so im real happy with the patch.De_Jappe wrote:

Personally I have little gripes with 1.4 I think EA did a good job dealing with multiple issues and did a job well done.

With teamplay you can manage this map on both sides very well.

i personally think the patch is ok... at least i havent gotten a CTD once yet since release.... even if thats all they did it was worth it... but it seems to take longer to load :-(

This patch kicks ass. I hadn't played since March, so it's really brought me back into the game in the best way possible!

I must say so far, I think it is a very good patch. My computer(s) even run allot smoother with it. From what I have played of the new map it is a awsume map. I have not tried the support weapons yet, but I don't think they should have nurfed them so bad to begin with in 1.3. Could not hit the broad side of a barn with the damn thing at times. Atleast for me anyways...
