Sorry if this has been posted before, but ever since I patched BF2 up to 1.4, every once in a while the game just completely freezes, it doesn't crash to desktop, it just completely freezes my pc. I'm wondering if this could be related to 1.4 or if it's something related to my pc. Again, I never noticed this before 1.4

If anyone can give some sort of explanation or possibilites I'd really appreciate it

Try downloading the Full 1.4 Patch if you haven't already..

If that doesn't work, try grabbing a hammer.

I had that problem with 1.3 but it was cuz when I went to install the new driver for my video card, I didnt uninstall the old driver

I downloaded some new drivers a few months ago, but I'm not really sure how to tell which one is currently running and how to uninstall the old

Lower all your display settings in game. I get this alot (especially since 1.4 came out), and I'm sure that setting your graphics settings lower will stop this from occuring so frequently.

Or the hammer.

had a similar problem after dl and instal of 1.4.....full un-instal then re-instal and patch and it seemed to work but all my video settings were at max and had to re-adjust.....works fine now...

U downloaded 1.4 patch from the orginal patch list from EA? There people putting adware/spyware in patched. So only download it from the official websites;)
