Just got a letter from COX saying that my 5Mb high speed internet is going to be upgraded to 10Mb in a couple weeks (same price).  In addition my upstream cap is bumping up to 1Mb.

Much as I hate them, this is very good news.

You must have other fiber ISP providers moving in to your market. They did that here in Tampa when Verizon FIOS started to move in around the beginning of the summer. Fl,TX, and NY where the first markets now they are expanding. The cable providers won't increase speed unless they have to. This Fios is going to compete with cable in the TV market as well once the laws are adjusted. Can't wait.

I figured as much.  Nothing like a bit of competition to get things rolling eh?  Makes me think about all the bad blood between ATI and nVidia fans.....where would we be without one or the other?

Still playing on 64 meg cards no doubt at 500 bucks a piece . Consumers will benifit .
