Ever get pissed off at people who just spawn rape? How's this for a modification? Your points register 100% only if you win the round. If you lose the round, you get only 50% of your accumulated stats for the round (global points that is). I think people would play more intelligently if something like this were implemented.

Not so. It helps by galvanizing a team towards a common goal instead of thinking of their own stats. Often teams lose because half their members are hanging out at the uncap spawn-raping for easy points. As to that last....
A real cure for point whoring is playing all the maps as all the classes. This also makes the game feel less repetitive.
If I'm PLA on Wake, that gives me that much more reason to rape the carrier. More points, plus it ensures a victory for PLA. If I'm USMC on Kark, it gives me that much more incentive to rape the hotel.Afrika_18 wrote:

There is nothing wrong with spawn raping. The majority of the time, the team that is getting raped deserved their fate because they failed in either securing enough flags or holding on to their flags, depending on the map and army.

True true. Spawn rape is the ultimate punishment for a bad team. IMO the threat of a spawn rape should be enough to get people to start working as a team. Had it happen on the AF road rage map numerious times and after nearly an entire round of spawn raping the opfor was always a more cohesive team.killer21 wrote:

Depends on the map and the situation. On say Sharqi as MEC, if your team has a flag then there is no ticket bleed. So as long as you have a flag, then spawnraping helps your team. A positive kdr helps your team in terms of tickets. On Mashtuur, the other team can get a ticket bleed on you by holding a majority of the flags. So if you only have one flag then spawnraping isn't helping because tickets bleed faster from flag control than they do from your kills.Afrika_18 wrote:

Awful idea. It would promote servers with no auto-balance (so anyone with half a brain could switch to the winning side at the last minute to get all their points as well as a win... no matter how crap they were during the match) or huge amounts of teamswitching and attempts at it, which would slow down the gameplay as people sit looking at the scoreboard waiting for just the right moment. Imagine the bitching: it's bad enough currently if you get balanced to the losing side at the last moment but if it meant a 50% cut in your points? Ugh.
As it is some people care about winning, some don't, but with the removal of the 3+ WLR requirement for the WCR at least nobody is padding one stat any more!
