While back my neighbor put a partition up on my hard drive

my c: is 20g and the new d: is 52g (yeah 80g that's it i know i need a new one eventually just not now)

Problem is when installing my games i put it on the c: drive and now it is completely full and i have an empty d:

1st Option:  I deleted the partition and have 52 g of unallocated space so i now need to get it into my c:
What i tried is to extend my c: in cmd prompt using diskpart:  i tried to extend it but it was saying that its the wrong argument or something.  So i need

help getting my unallocated space into my c:

2nd Option:  I move all my games over to my d: drive and leave the partition and just install all new games on to it.  Thing is can i do this.  Can my games not be in my local drive? 2nd How do i do it?  Do i need to uninstall the games and reinstall them on the d: or can i just copy them over.
I am oly playing 2 games right now.  Steam(cs:s,cs,dod....etc) and BF2 so that's all i have to move or reinstall.  Also if i leave the partition does it need to be primary or extended partition.

I would prefer to get back to one drive if possible.

Edit: I'm at work now so detail in the explaining is preferred so i can do this tonight.

I think there's a program called partition magic that will let you alter the size of partitions without having to wipe your HDD.

You can't just move your games. Unless you want to go through a lot of hassle changing registry entries. It would be a lot easier to reinstall them. Using disk partitions is a bad idea, it always causes trouble. If you just have OS installed on your smaller drive and use the other drive for stuff you should find your system runs a bit nicer.

Really you want a bigger hard drive though. Little hard drives like those have low data density which means lower speeds.

Didn't think you could just resize and delete positions through windows and not have to reinstall but I'll bow down to superior knowledge.

There should be no reason why you can't just use the 20Gb partition for your OS and the other for installing you games on. You will need to uninstall and reinstall but it's up to you, it's your pc.

Should i leave stuff like microsoft office and stuff liek that one the small one too?

installing games onto a different partition will help load times for your games. Simply reinstall them onto the D drive and it will work the same as if it were on c drive.
Or you could use partition magic7 to resize partitions as mentioned above. However you will need to get a pirated version which i do have a copy of so PM for a serial if you want one.
I personally think you should leave it like it is. If you were to save anything on your new partition it would be absolutely fine as it would be fine to save things on it also.

Or do it from windows

execute: mms

Make a new module and select add, Computer Management, select local computer

Open the navigation tree, goto storage, and click storage management, change from there

Partition magic is the best way to go IMHO

Ok i think i'm gonna just leave it how it is and reinstall my games on the d:

when i change the unallocated space to the new partition do i need to make primary or extend.  Because i know there's an option for that when you make a partition.  Does it matter? whats the difference?

Since it's on the same disk as your OS it must be extended.
