I overclocked my crappy card right, and it plays DoD:S much better.

But yet when I run BF2, it lags like crazy. So I have to play BF2 with no overclocking, and it works fine.

Do I have to lower the speeds maybe?

If you don't know what you're doing (and you obviously don't) then you shouldn't be overclocking.

The card probably sin't stable enough to run BF2 at the current settings, possibly because of heat problems.

I've noticed that BF2 has Problems with some OC'ed Cards - BF is not the only Game, FarCry and Doom3-Engine Games have the same problem. Ive overclocked my Card and my CPU and it works fine.

BF2 works fine on my OC'ed 7800 GT.  But I also have an aftermarket fan on it and a few more other case fans.  It does freeze up when Oblivion is played but I figure Oblivion is much more graphics intense.

Either way for me it doesn't seem like I need to overclock since my card can handle most of the games that are out now.  Maybe in a few months I may need to.
