I honestly have no idea whether there is anything good about chiropractic. I have seen so many positive and negative things about them that I have no idea what to believe. I have a minor lower back problem. And I don't know if it would do anything. Sure I could just go in and ask questions and decide for myself. But I wanted to know what you all think??

I think it's worth giving it a shot, if you don't think it's worth it after that try massauges or something (*sorry about the spelling)
Thanks. Does anyone else maybe have a little more in depth view about them, possibly your experience, your problems, and results. What about the myth that: You go to the chiropractor once and you have to keep going forever.
It worked for a friend
Thats what i`ve experienced also, chiropractics makes you dependent and are in my opinion like "first aid" only - go to the gym and build yourself out of misery - be mindful of your work and keep a healhty position whatever you do if you have back or neck-problems.AlbertWesker[RE] wrote:

I remember now, my dad and sister had some. Lots of clicking and crunching by the sounds of it. I think it must only have short term effects.
Physiotherapy FTW
I play Rugby and have had several issues with my back & neck that were sorted both short and long term by my physio.

Take your self to the swimming pool 2/3 times a week and gently swim for 30 minutes. This is the best exercise you can do for a bad back..
From personal experience, chiropractors are useful for getting your spine back into alignment, but the best thing you can do to help them and yourself out is to get your back in shape. Some chiropractor offices are even attached to physiotherapy offices. But like any other medical profession, chiropractors have their share of retards. Do your research before visiting one.

Helps a lot. But beware, it attracts many frauds. I have no idea why.
Yup. Approach an office with even more caution than an orthodontist's. But it can work wonders, and I an walking proof.Horseman 77 wrote:

I think a chiropracter that knows his or her anatomy could probably do some good.
But honestly, I think you're better off with a physical therapist.

Chiropractors have helped me a couple of times, both times I got a pinched nerve in my neck and couldn't move my neck to look up or down, they manipulated the bones in my neck pinning the nerve down and I got instant relief. That said, I remember going with my dad to the chiropractor when I was a kid, and his chiro was a complete quack, he actually tried to convince my family that he could hold a small bottle of some substance over my back and tell whether I was allergic to it or not based on the alignment of my legs. He also tried to sell magnetic bracelets in his office.
Personally I have had bad lower back problems as well Mr Wesker, I sit for long periods and don't have the greatest posture. I did some reading on it and tried a combination of massage (to relieve the overworked muscles) and exercise. I went to a legit (no happy ending) Thai massage place, and let them know why I came in, and walked out feeling improved (and even better the next morning) for $40 for an hour.
Prevention-wise, the best thing to do though is to build up your abdominal muscles. Weak abdominals are actually the biggest culprit in giving people chronic bad lower back problems - your lumbar muscles are twice as stressed if you don't have the abdominal muscles to adequately balance them out. I was having trouble a few months ago, and just started concentrating on doing a bunch of crunches every day for a couple of weeks when I went to the gym and the bad back disappeared.

I don't know. People tell me that cracking my knuckles/toes/back isn't good either but it feels so good.
It is the real deal, if you find a honest person that really know what he/she is doing. I was in two serious car accidents almost back to back and it is amazing how much it really helped me out. It was a little strange getting used to it but I can't go a week without stopping by the office to get adjusted now. Just remember to do some research before you go.
It isn't. Chronic 'cracking' of your back or any joint damages the connective tissue and aggravates symptoms.DesertFox423 wrote:

Stop weighing yourself down with guns and ammo everywhere you go!AlbertWesker[RE] wrote:
