i have a widescreen monitor wich normal plays a the rez of 1440x900 @ 60Hz
but when i play BF2 i onley can play at 1024x768 @ 60hz, but that is not wide screen, so i have 2 black field at the edges of my sceen.
How can I solve this?

By getting a normal monitor. BF2 doesn't support widescreen.

i had this problem but not with wide screen i have some 15 inch and i had 2 black fields all i did was reposition the size with the monitor buttons i don't know if that helps but Ive been playing like that since last November

it is very hard to get a new monitor because i play on a laptop and lapops don't have buttons on it

you could try getting a game that supports widescreen? I doubt that'll go down to well either

Add the following to your launch shortcut.

"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +widescreen 1 +szx 1440 +szy 900

That is assumeing that you have the game installed on the C drive.
