I said I understand why someone would use a wallhack. They want to appear good at something. Is it a lame way of being good? Sure. But it's the same mentality as people who use steroids for sports. What I said I didn't udnerstand was using aimbots, because why did you get the game if the computer's going to do your work?

There is no excuse for cheating and only the mentally handicapped would try and understand or justify it.

I never tried justifying hacking. Did you guys drop out of school after 4th grade or something?

I'll put it in layman's terms.

-Person wants to look better at game

-Person sucks at game

-Person buys hacks

-Person uses wallhacks to see where the players are, giving him an advantage. This I would see why people would do it.

-Person uses aimbot. This I don't get. Why would you want the computer playing for you? Wallhacking's already a cheap victory; aimbots just take away any last bit of possible dignity in your victory because you do absolutely nothing.

I've seen about 10 PB kicks for hack detected, and I've got a similar number of hours to you... for some reason it seems to usually be set to skip notify so the reason doesn't come up at the top of the screen, but I've noticed them when I happen to be trawling the console to work out who just punished me for a TK and stuff.

After Executioner's first post regarding his understanding of why people would resort to hacks he got flamed and rightly so...
My post was in regards to his 'look at my stats, they prove I dont hack..." statement. When this is far from reality and as previously pointed out they are far from an indication of whether you hack or not!
The whole point of a hack is to give the player an unfair advantage, period! Just because the aim hacks in bf2 are far from optimum does not mean the hacker did not intend to gain an unfair advantage. Therefore anyone trying to justify the use of a certain hack because it is more effective is ridiculous and only encourages people to hack.
The majority of online gamers have a true hatred for people taking the easy road, so when someone publicly tries to understand why people cheat it is not received well. Go figure......
