I'm sure I could go to Ireland (actual planning a trip to there) and find ppl that would treat me nice and ppl that would treat me wrong but I won't let that stay in my mind and ruin my trip bc they have their ways and I should respect that
Interesting to hear you say so Poe. Chicago was my home for 6 years, I count it among my favorite cities in the world, second in the US only to San Francisco. I have heard a few times that Chicago has often ranked as England's favorite American city in polls of English travelers. I can't help but feel a bit of pride but I've always wondered why it's able to inspire such strong feelings.CameronPoe wrote:

Usually has to do with the fact that most country folks still consider them better than democrats. Democrats tend to come off as trying to take away rights to country people, with things like gun control, environmentalism and increased beauracracy. I grew up in a country town so I know this first hand. I considered my self to be a democrat till a group of democrat environmentalists got a judge to kick me off of PRIVATE land that a club I was a part of owned for off roading. It left such a bad taste in my mouth that I pretty much swore off the party. I find this seems to happen in almost every country town (at least in the region I live in) and it really pisses people off to have outsiders come in and tell you what you can and can't do.cpt.fass1 wrote:
