Woohooo..? I'm not one bit excited at all. All these moron patch do is bring in more problems, 1.3 was a total disaster with the CTD problem. Now only thing I'm kinda excited about is what kind of problems this patch will cause. Of 2hours infront of the computer now, about 50% (that's 1hour for those %-haters) is actual play time. The rest is waiting for BF2 to load maps, waiting after they are loaded and waiting for loading after CTD's.

I can already imagine the 1.4 night:
1. First logon attemp to account fails after game being freezed for 4minutes
2. You must wait 6s when the join-button appears before pressing it, otherwise you get CTD
3. when joined to a game you mustn't join a squad before spawning otherwise you'll get network connection problem
4. I can leave the 4th open and edit the post when I figure something else sick behaviour that can occur

I honestly wish I could be glad about a patch, but I'm not. And I don't wan't to patch all the time, if I patch something it shall be for a reason and not because I cannot enter 98% of the servers anymore while the same bugs are there...

This was posted on another forum with a link that was incomplete and the http://forum.eagames.co.uk/ forums seem to be down right now so I can't check on it. However if this information is correct... it looks like we are in for a delay of unknown amount of time for the 1.4 patch.

Due to some last minute changes the release of the 1.4 patch has been delayed.

We do not anticipate this delay being a lengthy one, however we do not have a fixed date for release at this time.

We will update you as soon as there is further information.

Apologies to those who were expecting the patch today, however in order for this patch to succeed in the way it is intended a little extra time is being taken to ensure it is right.

Someone please confirm this if and when the UK EA Forums come back.

I think that they are ready to realize 1.4
They remove all the previous patches from the EA downloader.

yep....looks like at least another 24 hours is what read on Totalbf2.

Supposedly they found last minute a bug.

Kinda worries in a way but I'd rather have reliable patch than fux0red one.
