What does "preparedness" mean?
The Salt Valley has a large fault along the Wasatch front, and the rest of the valley is littered with smaller ones. because we have mountain ranges on both sides of the valley, and the valley is also what used to be covered by lake Boneville, the ground is heavy in sediment content. Bottom line is that if the Wasatch fault cuts loose, the shock waves will just bounce back and forth between the mountain ranges; sort of like shaking a bowl of jello. The liquification will sink most of the Salt Lake Valley.
well not too many earthquakes here so generally my reactions are pretty classy... last one was about 6 years back... at first i thought it was someone running down the hallway with a shopping cart cause everything started rumbling... then it kept goin and i was like "wtf is this an earthquake"... so like a true genius i wandered closer to the window to get a better view of outside lol... chances are ill die if we get a good one lol
I don't think New Jersey has earthquakes, but if we do New York City is going to fall into the ocean.
Grab a large amount of high powered explosive and an excavator. In about a month of digging you should be able to cause a minor one.stryyker wrote:

But maybe they changed it, Because they dont really teach that in College, Or mine at Least, But now its more like hide next to your Bed or Something. Anyways, L.A. has Building Codes which Keep the Buildings Standing and not Falling down. .

There is an easier way, because they found out the hard way. Just pump water into the fault.Flecco wrote:
