How many of the people that are buying 2142 as soon as it comes out suffer from crashes? I'm under the notion that ppl that don't crash will buy 2142 more than people that do crash
everyone just cries all the time because they cant medic whore on karkand all day
dont crash much and im going to buy 2142 a few weeks after it comes out so i can read how bad it is all over the internet then come to my own conclusion
I'm not buying it b/c the ps3 will be there and well...it may just be strong enough to pull me away from BF2
I'm not sure when I'll get 2142. I've still got some time before BF2: SF,EF,AF start to grow old on me
yea, 700 bucks for a consolexX[Elangbam]Xx wrote:

I CTD maybe once or twice a day, not not a big deal really. The only major probs i've ever had with crashes were loading AF maps.
I'd rather play gundam on the ps3
fuck bluray in its Sony flavored assxX[Elangbam]Xx wrote:

Yeah and the PS3 is 600 dumbass so you're saving 400 by buying a blu ray player and morestryyker wrote:

I'll stick with my computer. With all the different consoles and all the different versions, and people slowly realizing that "older" technology can handle most of todays games (I have a single AGP 6800 GT. It's not crap, but it's not as price heavy as the top of the line 7950 GX2s, especially if you SLi them). I play Prey, Timeshift, HL2, BF2, Doom 3, Quake 4, etc etc with good FPS and decent settings.
Don't get me wrong, if I had the money I'd jump at getting a 4-5 thousand dollar computer setup. It would be fucking sweet.
But last years hardware can still run a lot of games quite well, and to upgrade my computer to last another year or so would be less then the price of the PS3, or 360, or revolution. If you think about it, you're going to need all of those to play the great console games and that's well over a thousand, maybe 1,500 dollars.
With 1500, I could get a new motherboard, a new CPU (64 bit AMD, again, will run todays games well. dont bitch at me for conroe!) and maybe even some new hard drives. Taking out the HDDs and using whats left for videocards, I could take the new motherboard with PCI-E and get a 6800GS, or maybe a 7800. I'd be plenty happy.
Computers > Consoles in price, games, controls, adjustability, modability and other reasons.
Don't flame, and don't be a fanboy. Please.xX[Elangbam]Xx wrote:

Simple.
1. Play the demo when it comes out (there WILL be a demo).
2. See how it goes.
I guess a lot of people here have a slightly different approach:
1. Worry about how the game will be.
2. Swear the game will suck and promise to never touch it.
3. Play the demo.
I like the first option better......

Yes. Hell yes in fact. I'm going to get the demo before I get the game. Fuck EA if the demo comes out after the main release, I'll wait a week or two to know if a game is decent or not.ShotYourSix wrote:

I'm almost positive they said the demo will precede the game release and I swear I read an interview about an open beta but not sure (could be thinking of ET:QW on the beta part).
I'll have to check, I have a link to all the DICE interviews somewhere.
