Nice screenies . I hate ea.. because with a Nvidea card the game looks much better than an Ati card :S.

That why i bought F.e.a.r. and downloaded Hitman blood money demo i can run those games on Ultra High settings and looks 100000x times better than bf2 . (btw Full AA and AF Full 1280x1024 btw and all setting on highest)

I have all on on high,but in 1280x1024 /:
then get a bigass monitor.. you're wasting your time with a 7950 running at low resolutions. Those babies are what you need to run at 1600x1200 and up with full AA and everything else on high.

1280x1024 (monitor max) have run 2560x1024 without SLi and wow
fps caps at 100 permanently, if i turn the cap to 200 i get about 180ish usually
all high 4xaa forced 16xaf

contemplating getting  either the 23" or 30" apple display and trying one of those
(i have 2 screens for graphic design not gaming btw since lovely SLi still doesn't work on dual screens)

Just read through the rules, I dont see any restrictions on Picture sizes...

I just have a hard time believeing a 7600GT can do what you claim......   If you were manually reducing the image size by 50%, the shots should be 640x512......

I cant imagine for th elife of me why someone would want to misrepresent the capabilities of their video card....  I'm just a skeptic when it comes to things like this.

Seems like u have never tested a 7600GT.
Official its a mid-end card.
informal its a weak high-end card.
Its really fantastic how good it is.

It has the newest Nvidia Chip remember that.
And i have Dual Core.

come on guys, show us some nice high res images greater than 1280x1024 please

and SuB... not sure i believe you on those FPS and settings, on that setup. i'm runnign a higher spec rig and now way in hell could i get those sort of frames. sorry, but i dont believe it!

i'm running:

3700+ San Diego @ 2.7ghz on air stock vCore
2GB GSkill ZX PC3200
2 x 7800GT SLi
10k WD Raptor
19" TFT 1280x1024 everything maxed in game, never lower than 50fps, usually 70-80.

looking to get a bigger monitor though as the cards will be able to run higher res at virtually the same fps apparently

I tried this last night, very nice indeed. I'm stuck on 800x600 right now becuase of my monitor, but hopefully I'll get the 20.1" widescreen monitor for my birthday. Everything is on high, AA x8 and I'm rocking hard. Never one slow down, ever.
Just wanted to point out that BF2 sucks with the wide screen monitors.  When I started try replacements for my Viewsonic 22" trinitron monitor, I tried a 20.1" widescreen LCD (also from Viewsonic).  BF2 does not natively support the resolutions offered in WS.  You can force it to strech the picture across it, but that is it.  Everything will look a little squashed, but you will eventually get used to it.  Eventually, new games will support WS as they are coming out in volume but I do not know if BF2142 will or not.  I do recommend the Samsung 20" standard monitor (3:4 ratio) as it is inbetween a 4:5 ratio of 17" and 19" LCDs and the 16:10 ratio of the WS.

I was going to say the same thing, if you are going to show us the picture. Show us at 1280x1024 or whatever resolution you are running at, because at 640x480 any thing can look better in the small pictures.

I have dual 6800GS's in SLI...  I've very familiar with the 7600 Series...   I KNOW my SLI 6800GS's are far superior to a single 7600GT.  I have a Opteron 165 running 2.6Ghz and 2gb's of Gskill ram.  No Bottlenecks.

I suppose if I Dropped my res down to 1280x1024 I Might be able to get that....

I still find the 640x480 Res Weird.....

ANd to the guy that said Widescreen is squashed..  Your doing it wrong...  BF2 will CROP, not Squash the image.  The only thing squashed are the loading screens and FOV display.

I remember when I did my last system upgrade.  Went from Athlon 2200, 1gb, 128mb 5700 AGP to a system that could do what you see (had a 19inch CRT at the time).  It's a fantastic change, and congrats on the upgrade.

I had the opportunity to get a new Dell 24inch WS panel for less than $500 U.S. (the week it came out, so an even better deal at the time), so I of course sold the 20 inch panel and kicked in the rest for the upgrade.  I forgot an important detail though.  My new native resolution is so high, that I can't play a lot of games at max settings anymore.  Native is 1920x1200, and at that, I get big framerate drop of most games I play.  Especially Oblivion...  COD2 is awesome, but I had to slightly adjust settings to run that resolution.  I'm running BF2 at 1600x1200, all high +2xAA to keep decent framerates.

mUnki's right though, BF2's lack of widescreen support sucks.  It takes a little getting used to the squashed thing, but it still looks good though.

I mainly got a WS for the non-gaming goodness, but after playing around with a few games that support WS, it rocks.  I'm looking forward to wider support!

If compared it and the way the screenshots look, is the quality i get ingame.
As u can see in your own BF2 screenfolder those screenshots always look way uglier than ingame.

Yes i can run this with good frames and even in Warlord.
And thats with the bad optimised BF2!, so if they wouldn't have screwed up i would have been able to get llike 50 FPS in Warlord or something.

My advice good read the reviews on 7600GT and come back.
