Lately I've found my lack of concentration in BF2 caused by one thing... my neighbors living upstairs. It had been months since I realized the older patrons left and new ones moved in, yet the new ones seemed non-existent, keeping quiet, occasionally hearing footsteps in my apartment building's seemingly and SUPPOSEDLY soundproof walls. How wrong that seemed. Though I love my apartment, the...
hold on the sound's back up...
Alright, back to topic, though I love my apartment, it has only been recently that my neighbors upstairs have begun to unwind. With that being said, every night, almost like clockwork for the past couple of days now, my neighbors have been omnisciently energetic. It all began when I was playing Warlord a couple of nights ago and I had my headphones on. I use my headphones as not to wake my fiancee from waking her from screams of "AUUUGH!" or the sudden explosions of grenades, tank fire, artillery and the like... that was when I was sitting at a palace flag and with such high quality coming from the soundcard, picking up footsteps was easy just in case I'd attempted to be snuck upon. So as I was sitting at the flag, I heard this sudden thud, a succession of them really, as well as a squeaking.
Instinctively, I aimed up and looked at the ceiling... that's when I realized it wasn't from the game. Distracted, I looked away from my monitor and looked directly at my roof and sat there thinking "Maybe they're moving stuff..." till I heard the squeaking speed up and down occasionally. Still distracted, I heard the muffled sound acknowledging I had heard that I captured the flag I was at but I had gotten up from my computer at that time still attentive to the sound above me.
*Squeak-squeak, squeak-squeak, squeak-squeak, squeak-squeak, squeak-squeak* and that went on for quite some time and I timed it... at one point all I heard was a QUICK succession of these squeaks and I thought to myself "Oh man here it comes, the moneyshot dismount!"
Lo and behold, there was one last sudden THUMP... ... silence then a lasting succession of falling thuds and what seemed to me, a large sigh. I covered my mouth not wanting to laugh out so hard and have my neighbors think I was awake and aware (though I was) and hopped back on BF2, still giddy and awestruck by what had happened.
It was funny at first but now it's getting annoying. I had to quick playing BF2 just because of their bedstruck passion and I'm wondering if I should do something about it... in a way I don't want to be rude and interrupt or intrude on their business, but another part of me says "Arthur, you need to let these neighbors know what's up... maybe meet them and talk to them about this." Though that seems awkward
Oddly enough, I come to my fellow BF2S community for help... or to muse me on suggestions of what I should do about these passionate, energetic (yet 7 minute lasting) neighbors?
