sorry if i put this is the wrong section but need some help with two points.

1)i just brought new laptop from sony, the pc is meant for mainly uni work etc but wondering if its specifications would support bf2. I dont want to install and try the game, at the moment as internet connection isnt exactly sorted. Basically is it any good ??? as i said this pc was never meant for gaming so dont flame me if its really bad as a laptop.

New Laptop

2)i also have a hd tv and i am wondering is there any such cable available in the uk which is compatible with my system, which would allow me to use 46" to project the desktop etc. The tv has a pc input w/e that might be but i dont know how to utilise it

Yet again sorry if i posted in wrong section but im new to this.

You can use a cable to connect your pc to your high-def TV but i doubt the pc would be able to run it at a reasonable FPS.

will the fps effect things like DVD playing or viewing pictures from camera etc and am i right in saying that i need an s-video cable to connect it?

no. but i wouldnt recommend connecting a laptop to a HDTV though, a normal desktop would be better.
