Wheres the choice for "other"?
I vote Jaws.
I vote Jaws.
Growing up back then the shining was a scary movie and it didn't have all that bull crap special effects added my computers. i don't understand why The Thing isn't up there, that movie kicked ass
Biodome. Pauly Shore... he just freaks me out.
Seriously I'd pic the Japanese version of 'The Grudge' - way better than the stale American version. Ever since I saw that I've been able to see any scary movie and treat it as a kind of dark action/adventure type film.

Out of that list, the Ring(u) the original, not the crappy remakes ( that the U.S. keeps cranking out), wish they would stop remaking these movies, the originals are so much better...
Glad someone mentioned "The Thing" (John Carpenter's), not that scary, but one of the greatest horror films of all time, a must see
REALLY MEATY!

Hmm though it's not on your list, '13 Ghosts' is my vote. That's the only movie I've ever watched that made me sleep with the lights on after watching it that night
Could you read the first two titles on that list
uh, Son in Law and Biodome
And, who is the star of those films.
Uhm, Paula Shore
PAULY SHORE!!! <gasp> <oh, he's terrible> Is this the kind of man we want raising our children?

Ishtar & Annapolis were 2 of the longest , no plot movies I've ever seen, thats scary to me.
I'm too desensitized to scary flicks.

Ima go with "The Shining"
The Grudge, both Japanese Version and American one, made no sense whatsoever but parts creeped the hell out of me.
But The Shining is a Classic, 'Heeere's Johnny!'

After I watched the original "Night of the living dead" while baby-sitting, not only did I have to sleep with the lights on, I had to shower with the curtain open.
