Spawnofthemist is right on, if you're gonna spawn camp, use something exotic like the knife or defibrillators.
The knife is probably the best weapon to use, infinite ammo, fast "reload" time, and it's an instant kill. I still prefer defibrillators though!

Typical karkand noob thinking asking a question thinking everyone spawn camps. (before any one says I am a karkand noob, I ad a horrible GFX card that glitched on any other map)
As close as I've ever gotten to Spawn Camping is taking the MEC APC to the alley by the East wall at Karkand and shelling the USMC as they try to surge over the hill to either the backalley or the outside wall run at the Cement Factory.
I've gotten a shitload of kills doing that, but I don't consider it spawncamping.
I suck at this game, and my stats are bad (especially because I was horrendous when I started and didn't have the sense to learn offline), but they are legit. I'd rather suck on my own merit than rack up bullshit stats with integrity-less tactics.
If you don't consider it cheating, do it. Ir feels wrong to me, so for me it would be cheating. Cheating at a video game is, at the very least, semi-pathetic.

If and When I spawn camp I normally use Claymores and the M95 or the L96A1 depending if I'm sniping the Essex's decks of Heli-pilots or a mostly infantry board.

Hmm, does killing them from half the map away with an L96 count?
Whatever is handy. Whether it is a Vodnik, HMMWV, T-90, or M1A2 I don't care.
I camp them with a tent, sleeping bag, and one of those nifty tables that folds up to look like a briefcase.
If i'm gonna do it i'll use the HMMWV whenever i can... i do feel guilty afterwards though, honest!

i was wondering why you are able to have -1 karma........but after reading your post, i'm not wondering anymore.I've only spawn camped a non-cap base once. I did it intentionally with a knife and i got my basic knife badge.
