bf fanboys......

CS does take skill to get headshots/stay alive/ time flashbangs.

Bf only requires you to be able to hit z and ctrl real fast. There is no bunnyhopping in CS and its a helluvalot more difficult.

However I prefer BF2

I played on servers where AWPs were locked. Office requires great skill to storm it. You have to act like a team and use smokes and flashbangs at oppurtune moments.
Yeah its easier to kill people, because you have less health and no medics, which makes it a LOT harder to survive. People complain about inaccuracy, but that is because bullets will go straying if you're running shooting. Also there were no bugs to exploit to make it easier.

CS:s definitely requires more skill in the infantry region. But yeah BF2 requires more skill in other areas, like sniping, and using vehicles.

I hate the nades in cs:s u throw it and in 2 secs it blows up...pf
And also cs:s is the most unreal game ever....u shoot in the head from 3 meters and nothing happens..when you aim next to the head so in the air...HEADSHOT....this is a no skill game thats why a lot of people play it.And remember its just popular coz it runs in every net caffee and ppl just dont know other FPS games just cs.
The game has a good HL2 engine ofc...

I love BF2, but I had to give CS that vote. See, them CS players, they actually have to kill people using guns, while us Bf2 players, we just chuck 'em a C4, or a claymore, and blow 'em to hell. Although it takes more skill to play CS, it takes more intelligence to play BF2. Strategically attacking positions and the like.
Somebody mentioned CoD2 on the first page aswell. I think that is one of the most balanced games. There an equal amount of necassary intelligence and skills needed to play it. If only there were more people in those servers...

If you ask me, CS (both versions), anytime. BF is way much easier to gain points in. BF2 takes alot of skills to actually hit your opponent thou, due to the constant delay each server seems have.
(If u point and aim at head in CS = Splash = kill. If you aim at head in BF2 = Ploink. Swosh. Ungh! ( - 5hp)

Just mine experince.
uhh..right..i recognized, that im able to kill by a headshot with the sniper kit only, but not with the semi-autos, i mean the bolt-action models
or better 5 shots from the dao @>1m in t3h head or chest....not dead...not dead...

I have played both and I say BF2. I cant remember who said it but someone said that on CSS it is all about whoever can strafe and shoot the fastest wins, however on BF2 it is whoever can go prone the fastest (tends to) win. BUt I say BF2 due to the wide variety of skills necessary and the use of tactics

CS:S.

Why?

Give a total noob the AWP in CS:S and he'll still be a total noob.

Give a noob a tank in BF2 and he can basecamp like there's no tomorrow.

In BF2 there are plenty of opportunities for easy kills, CS:S there's rarely a chance.

To get good at either game, I think it's minimal skill and just lots and lots of experience/know-how.

In CS you do not have to lead targets which makes shooting way to easy.. Everything is a damn head shot.

The only reason its harder is because people have been playing CS alot longer then Battlefield so guys are extremly good at exploiting the game.

CoD2 did the one hit kill right, plus had the ironsights and the prone. It's the perfect arcade-em-up. CSS, i don't know what people see in it, granted - the Zombie mode is fun but shooting at things in general seems like a chore. All you have is a crosshair that doesn't really work and you're forced to go in close and try and shoot, whoever jumps the most and aims for the head the most and sprays the most wins.

The guns are all the same, except for the Deagle which seems different and the snipers. What's with the M4 acting and being just like a AK47?
CoD2 is a shit game if you've ever played Call of Duty 1 or United Offensive, it's expansion pack.  It completely ruined the balance, realism, yet still fun and arcade style gameplay they were known for.

I think CS requires a little amount of skill, but BF2 requires much more, IMO.  A lot of my CoD clan members got BF2 and stopped playing it because they just sucked it up.... it's really not a game that you can just pick up and play on the spot, you need to put some time into it.

IMO.. it's two entirely different kinds of skillsets the two games require. in CS:S you can easily win the map by having the one single super railgun god on your team. In fact, you can play 10 vs 1 and he'll usually STILL own you if he's good enough.
In BF2, you can win the game, and loose on points at the same time. Good teamwork, taking flags, and spawning with the right kit at the right time can make a world of difference, and can win your team the game. In BF2, it doesn't MATTER if you have the super railgun god on your team, even if he's never killed your team can win by taking every flag that he ISN'T at....

Add to that the fact that BF2 and aiming usually shouldn't be said in the same sentence (ok, so it might be semi possible to HOPE to hit what you're aming at with the newer patches, but 1.01 was TERRIBLE). Luck and coordination seems to be more a requirement in BF2, so that's the BF2 skills needed, whereas being able to jump/dropkick/shoot/zoom/nade while eating a sandwich seems to be the skills you need in CS:S

With that in mind, I can't say wich game require more skills. It's like comparing bananas and salt water.

EDIT: No I can't eat a sandwich and play at the same time, so I personally play BF2 not CS:S, because I can just eat during my nifty 15 seconds of quality time I get a couple of times each round.

Battlefield 2 : requires more skill, smarts, and comittment

Counter strike source: requires skill but in another department : HACKING.....

the best hackers in CSS always get the most points and kills.

Depends on what you call skills
Hitting a guy on the foot and killing him in one shot isnt exactly what i call skills.
But neither is knifing someone in the leg and killing him in one.

Meh
Both have their weak points and high points.

If you think playing Counter-Strike requires no skill, go play against a good clan and have your ass handed over to you.
Playing Battlefield 2 requires some skill as well, but it is just a lot easier to be good in BF2 than in CS:S.

BF2 Requires more skill imo, there are more tactics available to implement.

CS:S on the other hand requires just a lot of practice to learn each of the guns recoil. When to fire. How do know exactly where someone is based on sounds. Etc.
