my brother has a powercolor x1800xt 512 mb and hes got some trouble with his pc. ive been playing on his pc recently and this sometimes show ups and i have no idea what this is supposed to be. i causes the machine to just either crash. someone just help me tell me what this is. and he will get 1+ karma from me.

i think its your catalist driver on your ati or its the patch cause my dad had the same problem but those squares were covering the whole screen and he was using a Nvidia graphics card so i guess just wait on the next patch to come out

Check your refresh rate also... may not be same as the one selected ingame

Since you say that it shows up "sometimes", perhaps you have a cooling problem with your video card.  Check it for accumulated dust ... make sure there is good air flow around it.

i would say that the card is overheating, to far oced or has a driver issue
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
