1 unlock - 3 weapons - no idea

Hey Folks...

Okay, so I finally reached my 1st seargent ( hooray ! ) and chose my first of two unlocks...

But now I´m stuck...Next rank is about 30000 lightyears ( or about 222 days ) away and i have no idea with which of the three leftover weapons I should go...
MG 36
MP 7
F 2000

Problem is : I like to play all of the three classes, depending on the situation, so I don´t need a comparison among these weapons but more of an advice refering to the class it is in.

Any ideas, comments or flaming ?

I really like the MG36 man. It has an awesome rate of fire and although it isn't as powerful as the PKM you still do more damage since its rate of fire is so much faster. I'm not a big fan of the FN2000 even with its zoom function.

I'd say take the F2000. I, at least, think it's a pretty solid weapon, with a GL as a bonus.

I don't like the MP7, but I hardly ever play as Engineer.

The MG36 is also really good, but since the 1.2 patch, the PKM is insane, great accuracy/firepower. So IMHO you really don't need to upgrade the support class.

My advise is to take the F 2000. The MG36 is also OK, but for now I prefer the PKM for the support class. The Mp 7 looks rater small and not essential

the mp7 is a horrible gun, it will only be effective at close range. so why not just use a shotgun which is better? i prefer to use a pistol for long range as engineer instead of the mp7.

the f2000 is a pretty good gun. most people would rather use something else than a m16 when they are USMC and want to have a GL, so this can be a good choice if you are like that. this gun is really accurate and does a good deal of damage.

the mg36 is a great gun. does a fair amount of damage, its really accurate, and a high rate of fire. but since the new patch i prefer the PKM.

so out of all those, i would say the f2000 is the better choice.

depends on the class you plan on playing with most for a while. i would go with the mp7 just cuz its kind of fun. its rate of fire is SOOO HIGH. 900 rpm vs 600 with most other guns. plus most ppl choose the f2000 or mg36 so you can just pick them off of someone whose dead most of the time. it also depends on what maps you play most. like most ppl if you play alot of karkand sharqi or other high infantry maps then you will want to stay away from the mp7. then again the f2000 and mg36 are the only 2 guns i dont have and i usually like the stock guns for those clases anyways. i think the m16 is probably the best gun in the game if not the equal of the g36c

I suppose you're not familiar with these weapons and you don't have SF?

It all depends on which class you're gonna play the most or you want the veteran/expert badge with: the F2000 is a great weapon, with GL, and very accurate, bit heavy though; the MG36 is indeed lighter than the PKM but very accurate too, with the added possibility of firing 3 rounds bursts instead of full auto which helps your aim.

I like the MP7 a lot: very light, fast gun, good damage, and accurate, but only 2 clips so you'll be screaming form more ammo fast!

This is a difficult one to judge man.

You could go for the F2000 which is a much better weapon for the Assualt kit.

The Mp-7 is a good weapon for the engineer as the other two weapons are shotguns. personally i have only started going Engineer since i got the Mp-7 as the kit is more like the Anti-Tank now.

the MG36 when i unlocked it was an improvement over the other two support weapons, but i still did not like using it much because of the lower accuracy over any other kit. However, i have not really tested the support Kit out since the last unlock.

If you look at the situation from a points scoring basis, then forget about the F2000, as in my experience you score less points with the Assualt kit than the engineer and support.

Then you could look at which you would prefer between the engineer and support. do you want to help out your team by repairing the assets more, but also have some good close combat fighting with the Mp-7. Or do you want to basically get stuck into the big battles with the MG36 and take the enemy apart with rapid fire and lots of bullets?

I would go for the Mp-7

I've never been disappointed by the MG36, but the PKM is now just as good. The MP7 can kill just as fast as the DAO12 at close range, though tends to run out of magazines fairly quickly. You can put it on single shot, if you'd prefer, which gives you a greater advantage at medium range over the DAO12. The F2000 is a solid unlock with a scope, grenade launcher, and flashbang grenades. You can blind a bunch of people (also effective against some vehicles) and run in shooting, or just use G3/default kit to kill them all with a frag grenades in the first place. The flashbang, however, has a wider blinding radius than the grenade's killing radius.

I would choose the F2000 first for the sheer variety in playstyle. If flashbangs aren't your thing, than I'd go with the MP7 to give your engineer guy access to medium range kills in semi auto mode, in case you don't have time to reload your pistol. Lastly, if you don't expect to be fighting any troops more than 20 feet away from your AT guy, the MG36 is an ideal support weapon for peppering an area with an unlimited stream of angry bullets.

If you have the Special Forces expansion, you can test all three of those weapons with the SAS army to find out which is more to your liking.

Way to quote half a thread for a typo. Even though I realized that before coming back here to correct it, the mistake has been fixed regardless. Thanks.

As to your question, I was under the impression that the second tier of weapons are available as unlocks to people who do not have SF. But even if I'm wrong, it still doesn't invalidate the point I made about testing the F2000, MP7 and MG36 with the SAS if he runs SF.

Ok guys, thanks for your help....

I guess I´m really should go for some more "weapon testing" before making this desicion.
God, I really wish I would not have unlocked that crappy P 90. Earlier today I emptied one whole clip into a guy about 5 m. away while I was walking backwards...nothing. I think their was a grin on his face when he pumped me down with the DAO after that...

I wouldn't choose the mp7. I play engineer a lot, but I make sure I'm always in a vehicle. If I have to fight on foot, due to loosing my tank, or not getting one in the first place, I look for a dead guy to rob for a more suitable kit. Your style of play might not be the same as mine, especially since the landmine changes have made playing engineer-on-foot a more viable option.

I'd say the f2000 is the best choice. Flashbangs are more useful in vanilla than sf, because people don't expect them as much...... and theres nothing funnier than hanging around an enemy runway, using the flashbangs to blind the pilots as the take off

to the OP

The F2000 does more damage than the M16. I believe it is a little more accurate than the M16 in single shot. The full auto of the F2000 gives it an advantage against multiple targets close together. Add in the flash bangs and it is a good unlock. If you like the assult kit use it on the F2000. Otherwise get the MG36.

I'd go with the MP7 as it brings the most variety to the class since it is the only gun that is not a shotgun.
